Don't know what you guys are talking about. Moss may have been held to one catch, but the amount of attention BB had the defense paying him is why the Vikings were able to work the middle of the field all day.

Moss was once an elite WR, not a decoy for other players to make plays. That tells me he isn't the player he once was. You aren't making a good argument that he isn't on the decline.

The hit was completely legal
It seems sometimes the league decides whether the hit was illegal by checking to see how injured the player is.

Please take that muck out of your post. Its been a great day for the Patriots but this is horrible stuff and doesn't belong in a postgame thread.

It sickens me that people are so hateful around here. I'm strongly thinking of leaving the forum over this sort of Jets type garbage.

And Favre had another solid outing against the Patriots 22/32 for 259 yards. He is down for an interception but that was a catch and strip by McCourty imo.
I dont see whats so bad about my comment.
If you are taking it to mean millions of people wanted Favre injured, you are misunderstanding it.

When a player produces next to nothing and you need to give him credit for being the reason others produced, you know there isnt much left in the tank.

The old Pats are showing signs of being back. Tough it out close wins.

The Redzone D must be at least near 16th in the league.

Facts and reality rarely affect the opinions of posters here.

Moss knew that he would be taken out of the game. Who would have thought that he would need to be double teamed all game and sometimes triple teamed? The only time he was left one on one, he had an easy touchdown until Meriweather drew the necessary penalty.

The patriots were willing to pay a stiff price for taking Moss out of the game.

mgteich,
Facts and reality are what you make up?
Have you really seen the coaches tape to see how Moss was covered?

Oh please, don't tease us, do us all a favor...

I saw the many, many tiimes that the netwrok showed the coverage. If you want to believe that Moss had an aweful game and is a useless player, then believe it. If you want to believe that McCourty covered him one on one all game, then believe it.

There is a tradition that a player who is traded from the patriots becomes gretaly diminished in ability the day he is traded.

If he's on decline, it sure was pretty dumb of Belichick to play both safeties deep, one lined up over Moss on most snaps, and still leave a corner manned up on him.

In the past, Moss drew double and triple teams and still caught about 100 plus yards and several TDs. Now he is just a decoy who draws coverage away from other players. He still has value to the team he plays as long as he draws double coverage, but he isn't the player he was. Not even close.

Yeah, that was a wicked price...a ten point win in a one for catch 8 yard game in which they gave up less than 20 points...

Honestly mg, you should find another team to root for until Bill and Tommy and maybe even Robert are gone. This winning just to spite you when you're so much smarter than any of them are has to be to frustrating to bear.

If he is not on the decline, pretty dumb of Favre and Childress not to throw to him even if he was double and triple teamed. It is clear he is on the decline. He was an elite player who could out jump and outfight over the top coverage. Now he is a decoy to draw coverage from other players. That is a drop.

Dude, you have it backward.
You said no one who pointed out that Moss didn't produce is ignoring the FACTS AND REALITY that he was doubled and TRIPLE teamed. You made that up, because you cant see the coverage on TV.
I saw the same zero ins you did, and they were zones coverages where Moss ran through multiple zones.
No one said McCourty covered him all game, in fact there were many times they werent even on the same side of the field.

Your last sentence is simply ignorant.
No one has made such a comment, but you have done the exact opposite making up a claim that he was double and TRIPLE teamed.
I will bet you everything I have that you cannot find a play in that game where Moss was triple teamed. Do you even realized how ridiculous that is? I would suppose you couldnt find a play in any game with any player triple teamed.

You really tried to call people out for ignoring FACTS AND REALITY by saying something happened that you couldnt see on your TV screen. Come on, you are usually better than that,

I think we saw why BB traded him for a 3rd round pick. Who would have thought we'd get the better of that trade?

I saw Merriweather playing like 30 yards off the LOS allowing Toby Gerhart to run wild for 20+. I saw Harvin running wild underneath all day the same way Welker did before the trade. It's not that hard to see.
