The patriots have had 19 compensatory picks over the years through 2009, in rounds 3 through 7. The team has hit on FOUR picks: Brady, Pass, Kaczur and Pryor. We still don't know about McKenzie.

Perhaps this is amazingly successful to some of you.

Actually MG it is. If for one reason only. I'm sure every team in the league would line up to burn 19 or more low round picks to acquire the next Tom frickin' Brady.

Can you tell I just read the Brady better than Manning post? Wow. Just wow.

It's funny that Deadrick is playing on par with Ndamukong Suh.

Suh in 6 games started: 4.5 sacks, 18 tackles
Deadrick in 3 games, 2 started: 2 sacks, 6 tackles

by the time Deadrick plays his 6th game it's possible that he has 18 tackles and 6 sacks if he continues to play well.

Stats are for losers. Put the tape in and tell me with a straight face that Deaderick is better than Suh (who has 1 INT and two TDs btw)

Deadrick is playing better than he was in college, IMO, at least based on the couple tapes I saw of him. So maybe it was a factor of him working harder.

I like the way BB drafts big bodies in the later rounds.

Obviously Suh is a 4-3 guy whereas Deaderick is a 3-4 guy, but the impact Suh has had on that defense is ridiculous. That isn't a knock on Deaderick; being in Suh's company means being a contender for DROY.

BD is a nice rook but Suh is a beast who if he keeps it up will not only be DROY but DPOY (long shot but you never know)

I honestly belive that at some point in his career, Suh will be the second defensive player to win a MVP. It's just ridiculous what he's doing in his rookie season.

Getting back to Pat's players, Deadrick, Brace and Prior deserve kudos for being very solid contributors for rookies and 2nd yr guys.These guys are not only holding up, they are making plays. That was Steve Hutchinson Pryor beat to sack Favre.
