As I've said before, I just don't get why it took BB so long to draft someone to replace Hanson. Zoltan was arguably MVP today not just "the punt" but all day he was consistently netting close to or over 40 yards.

Yes, a good punter can change games. Hope he keeps it up!

4th down at our 16 yard line! Mesko punts it over the returner, and was downed at the BAL 19!

what is really amazing about that punt was that it was over 60 yards IN THE AIR it was about 80 yards from foot to stop and it only rolled 10 yards at most it was unbelieveable

an unspoken thing about punters with huge legs, like zoltan, is that people know he can blast the ball 50+ so stand that far deep awaiting the punt, so even when he doesnt hit good punts and the ball lands 30 yards from the line of scrimmage, the ball bounces and you get big rolls. average roll is about 17 yards in the nfl


on the big punt today, he hit it like 45 in the air and rolled another bunch of yards. dont know what carr was thinking

It was more than that. After the Defense played heroically denied the Ravens three times in OT, the offense again laid an egg via dropped passes, and we were about to give them field position where a couple of first downs and they were in field goal range. Momentum had shifted, we were about to go down, and I think everyone on the board was getting mentally prepared for the loss.

That punt changed all of that.

Agreed. I was offering to sacrifice to every God I knew that that punt would land inside the 20. I owe my Gods a lot of holocaust this week, but it's worth every one of them. This was a GREAT win, even if in overtime. :rocker:

Just incredible. When we were backed up, I'm so used to awful punting, I thought the Ravens were going to get it at midfield and we were done for sure.
