I Don't Get It

Every situation doesn't need a villian. This is akin to the kid who goes of to college and leaves behind the high school sweatheart.

Sometime in 2009, management determined the league caught up with the 2007 offense. This is normal in football, otherwise, the "wishbone", "winged t", "run 'n shoot", and "wildcat" would still be prominant.

Moss was in the final year of a contract, wanted an extension, didn't get it. This was coupled with a situation where he saw that the offensive philosophy wasn't where he could put up big numbers to warrant an extension. The two go hand in hand. No extension for a player destined for a dimished role.

Be then conducted himself to get shipped out.

Players have to guard their interests because they are the only ones going to do it. Same for the organization.

This thing ran it's course and is natural. Otherwise, who would ever change jobs if it wasn't natural.

Please get a clue. Moss' teammates still loved him as each and every one have genuinely said as much. It was 7-6 at halftime, a disagreement with O'Brien is not "crapping" on your teammates. Now continue on playing with your Moss voodoo doll.

You think his teammates loved him when he acted like a 7th grader at the Vince Wilfork award event? Get real.

Projecting your personal opinions onto his teammates doesn't do anything to help your case.

how do yo uknow that all of his teammates loved him?

sounds like more than a few were fed up with his act.

I can't "know" that each and every teammate loved him (can't "know" that about Brady or anyone else either). All the real evidence points to them loving him though.

Alge Crumpler was not instructed to say "I know we all love him in this lockerroom". He may be instructed to not speak negatively of players but there's no way that he's going to say they all love him if they really don't. Wilfork is not going to say that Moss is "probably one of the greatest guys you'll ever meet" just to lie to you.

And of course only a jerk like Moss would wear his injured teammates #33.

The only reason you think anyone was "fed up" with his act is based on MEDIA generalizations from secret sources. Even his former teammates on the Vikings and Raiders have had positive words to speak of him. The media doesn't like him, and they never will, but past and present teammates have always said nice things. You don't think Doug Gabriel had GOOD things to tell BB about Moss?

Boston media always has to look for ways to demonize a player who is sent packing. Look at all the crap stories they're dredging up (some of which are outright fabrications) in order to justify why Player X was a cancer and a pox on the house of the New England sports world.

Soooo ironic that the obvious Moss haters on this board, who are also some of the first ones to condemn the Boston media for taking knives to Belichcik, or anything else Patriots, are now using every story the Boston mediots are flinging out there as proof that Moss HAD to be dealt. Just freaking hilarious some of the hypocrisy that goes on around here.

Maybe some of these new found homers are stating this because...well... he was becoming a distraction. Did you watch the second half of the Jets game?

How about the 3rd quarter Dolphins clutch drive?

Brady got tunnel vision vs. the Jets in the second half. How is that Moss's fault?

What are you saying about the "Dolphins clutch drive?"

3rd quarter of the Dolphins game. We were up 20-14 and went down and scored a TD. Clutch drive on the road like we use to do. A drive where Moss was not targeted?

So it's Brady's fault he threw to the freak wide receiver who can't get open? What does that say about the receiver?

I simply don't get the "for/against" concept. It is what it is. Sure we are better with him but we would also be better if Manning and Brees were our backup QB's.

This simply wasn't going to work with a new offensive style and a superstar relagated to decoy in a contract year.
