Why don't you cheer for the things you KNOW he did (e.g. big part of the most dominant offense in the history of the NFL) rather than decide not to cheer based on the things the media tells you he did or said.

Moss is a "me first" guy first and foremost, who becomes a team guy secondarily when the money, limelight, catches and victories align to suit him. Don't get me wrong, I loved what he brought to the field here and cheered him plenty for that. I even bought a Moss T-shirt once. But it's hard to forgive his selfishness leading to his "ouster," which is why I will neither boo nor cheer his introduction.

BB has never flat out said anything in his football life. You can't seriously think that Randy went up to BB after the first game and said, all friendly-like, "Hey Bill, I'd like to go play with Brett Favre now that it seems you guys have other plans for next year..." and BB answered cheerfully, "Okay, Randy, let me see what I can do."

As I and a few others have repeated over the last two days in numerous threads, there is no way the Pats and BB do THIS deal at THIS time, and seriously imperil their season, unless Randy Moss became intolerable behind the scenes. BB decided that gambling he and Brady could put it together for the rest of the season without Moss (and with the young D he has that has had trouble stopping anybody to this point) was BETTER than letting Moss play out the remainder of his contract. The third round pick was a "get whatever we can" pick up, as evidenced by the fact that we had to throw in another pick to even get it done!

I'm with Tune on this. I won't boo (unless he scores, and then I will boo big time), but I sure as heck won't cheer.

This is a GAME of entertainment for US. For HIM it's his JOB. If he felt he needed to go elsewhere to earn his living, so be it. He gave us 3 outstanding years and was good to the fans. If he treated the ownership or coaches bad, fine, that's their issue. I am a fan, he entertained me greatly and he deserves to be recognized for that. If he does something crazy after scoring on us or something, sure, he loses that status, but until then he deserves a cheer.

He flat out said he never had any issues with Moss over 4 years and that he never talked to Moss on the plane.

Well your base assumption is wrong. He has no seriously imperil'd the season. This season depends on ball control and defensive growth. If the team grows enough to compete in the playoffs, they will be fine with the current offense. Moss wasn't going to help the defense grow, and the quick strike abilities were less important when the defense needs coaching and the offense needs to eat up clock.

You severely underestimate the 3rd round pick. It is definitely not a "get whatever you can". Why didn't they just taken a 4th if that were the case. I believe BB when he says it was a difficult decision.

That still doesn't let you off the hook for throwing out 3 great and entertaining years for what you PERCEIVE to be a "childish" act of forcing a trade. Past and present teammates to this day have nothing but good things to say about Moss, yet the media continues to convince people he's a terrible psycopath.

While I think the trade is the right thing to do, I'd cheer for this guy. He was thrilling to watch and he came within the stupidest, velcro catch I've ever seen of having a Superbowl winning catch and a perfect season for the Pats. He'll be great for the Vikings, at least in year one.
