Yeah, in that article, Borges called Belichick a 'gym teacher with better jewelry'. He used the Seymour trade to rip BB. Yes, the same Seymour that he ripped BB a new one for even drafting. The man has ZERO credibility.

I agree with the poster who called Felger a "resident contrarian." He said yesterday the Moss trade will enable the Pats to go to the AFCCG. Really? With what -- those players they drafted? Seems to me every time I stumbled across his show this summer/fall he was going on the same rant about bad drafting.

And Borges is just angry and spiteful.

I thought Borges handles himself pretty well. Just watched the replay. He was blindsided and came back with some good points. Just to be clear. I call him "Wrong" Borges and think he's a blowhard who hates Belichick and the Pats. I find Felger amusing but usually not that knowledgeable.

Felger quoted a couple of post-game articles by Borges. Borges was critical of Moss in those articles. Now, Borges is the phony for ripping the Pats now.

I remember when Felger had his AM show and he had Borges on and Borges got creamed by both Felger and the callers. Borges refused to ever admit he was wrong about anything. He even maintained that he was right about his stupid Seymour comments after the draft by saying "Hey, he good against the run and he is good against the pass right?" kinda ignoring the part where he said that Seymour wouldn't be great at anything.

Borges will always take the anti-Patriot side of the argument. To his credit, he is at least consistent in whenever it is Belichick vs. a player, he will always take the player's side.

Felger must be in heaven right now. Moss is gone. Borges gave him material for his entire show today and he came out looking like a hero because he went up against Borges (which was the best part of Sports Final shows back circa 2003).

I believe that occurred in the 80s or 90s when Borges was covering boxing for the Globe. I seem to recall that his victim was an elderly fellow boxing writer whom I think may have been from NY, but I'm note sure of those details. What I am sure of is that it happened.

Great TV tonight on Comcast Sportstonight. Felger comes prepared with past articles and quotes Borges has witten about how terrible a football player Randy Moss is and how he is killing the team. Felger then says, "you rip him for 4 years, but now that Moss has a problem with Belichick you defend Moss", "Your a fraud, what a fraud !", felger yells. Felger says, "remember about 10 years ago Ron", as Felger goes on to recount Borges attack of the Patriots for playing Tom Brady over Bledsoe in 2001.

Of course Borges goes ballistic.

Never seen two sports writers come closer to blows on the air. I could never stand Felger, but after calling out Borges on live television and in a serious manner, I may have to rethink my position.

I caught 10 min of Felger on the radio yesterday. Apparently he had previously picked the Pats to make the playoffs but lose immediately, yesterday he said he was changing that, they will make the AFC championship game, in the long run (this season) the trade is a plus. May just be the contrarian in him and he will backtrack when people start thinking the team is going places.

Saw the footage last night and it was pretty heated. Felger was in his glory (as was I because I cannot stand Borges) and he was in the right. Although a dbag, at least Felger will admit when he's wrong and he does usually see both sides of a story. Borges, on the other hand, can see no good in anything Belichick does...

the funny thing is Borges flourishes with negative attention ... he loves it. This guy is a sadist ... it's rather funny actually and it can be entertaining at times. At one time before all the booze he had a great mind ... but he's not stupid. he plays the roll of contrarian - bring on all the hate and he remains popular and employed. This is oh so very Freudian of him.
