Reiss: Outburst was with O'Brien, not Belichick

That's the funny thing. Moss wanted out of here because he didn't get a contract extension.

But guess what?

Childress on Moss contract: "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it" | ProFootballTalk.com

Childress: "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

So Moss doesn't even have a guarantee that they'll extend him. So he ends up in the same situation he tried to get away from.

Stupid. Just stupid.
well why would he sign a long term deal with the vikings if tavaris jackson is going to play QB next yr ?

he might a jet or redskin next yr.

Ugh, its disgusts me seeing Pats "fans" stick up for that selfish douche bag. Ding dong the witch is dead.

Maybe he gets traded back after MNF because he didnt want a week off?

We won our 3 superbowls with a "dink and dunk" offense. We lost our superbowl with the "longball" offense.

No?

So, what you are saying is that it's the lack of Rice and Harvin's headaches that are to blame for Favre throwing 6 interceptions and for their running game not being as effective as normal...

Dude, stop. Just stop. Those are excuses and they are BS ones at that.

Not going to training camp is what I would blame for Favre sucking.

I'm not excusing Favre. He's an INT machine.

I'm simply suggesting to you that a reason for why the Vikes offense isn't performing up to snuff is because the teams top two receivers are hurting. Kinda tough to blame the play caller for any reduction in offensive performance. Geez, could you just imagine how ole doofus would do if Moss and Welker were hurt ..... good grief!

No. You're making rationalizations for the how pathetic the Vikings offense has been to this point and you're giving the Vikings OC a free pass. Not to mention that the Vikings still have several weapons (AP, Shincoe (sp?), Berrian, etc) and Harvin playing.

As for what you are trying to do, you started off trying to make everyone believe that the Vikings OC was some Savant. You failed miserably at that and now you're trying to rationalize away the failures of the Vikings offense to this point.

While I don't care for O'Brien as a tactician (play-caller), he seems to be a pretty good strategist (game planner). I still don't think he's gained Brady's trust and have felt that since the beginning of last year.

But, to try and pretend like the Vikings have no weapons and that the OC doesn't take some of the blame there is just silly. And Moss being there isn't magically going to change that.

The Vikes will gameplan around Moss, something NE was unwilling to do in 2010. His stats will be higher and it will earn him a bigger payday for his next contract. If Burton is right, he was becoming a loose canon and the Patriots needed to take action.

I was hearing that apparently Moss told O'Brien to mix up the play calling and try something new and apparently O'Brien started pouting. They said that 5 other players have doned the same thing and they never got in trouble for it.To me its all about the incompetence of one O'Brien.I hope he gets exposed and he is out of here after this year!

Really?? Would you care to provide a link?? Because that's not what Burton reported. And it's not what Brown mentioned.

You can delude yourself to believing that Moss was traded because of Bill O'Brien's ineptitude, but you'd be wrong.

It's not just Burton who reported it. Troy Brown mentioned it and so did Bruschi.

It was reported by ESPN boston.O'Brien stinks!Even last year with Brady's numbers i never felt good the way he called games.Brady had big numbers but just look at the games on the road.Stats dont tell the story.

Last time I checked Bill O'brien was the OC of the #1 offense in the NFL

I guarantee we will not be the #1 offense for very long when defenses start loading up on welker in the short game.

See that button in the lower right hand corner that says "QUOTE". It would be nice of you to use it.

The links for the Burton, Brown, and Bruschi articles are already up under the Moss threads. Not seen the link you are saying is there. Why don't you use CTRL+C and CTRL+V to cut and past the link into your reply? Or is that asking too much of you.

edit: BTW, it would be nice if you actually read what people posted because I haven't disagreed with you regarding how poor I believe that O'Brien is. You'd be good to look up that the disagreement with O'Brien was just one of MANY issues the Pats had with Moss since before the season started. As for Karen Guerigan, I don't trust anything she has to say unless she's repeating someone who is a legitimate reporter. She's been a hack for ages.

Brady with only Moss/Welker last year certainly had his struggles.

Hey DABruinz i am not drinking wat BB is selling.Listen i dont agree with Moss's actions but this could all have been avoided if they would have extended his contract!I think the coaching staff has regressed and thats my opinion as a fan.

It's impossible to know, since we're not in the locker room, but everything suggests that this could have been handled a lot better.

My point is that Childress will use Moss correctly, unlike the doofus for us.

We'll have to agree to disagree on how crucial not having Rice and a hurting Harvin is to the offensive output of the Vikes thus far.

Further, I re-iterate my point to just watch how that offense performs from here on out.

Because he simply can't be worse

Excellent point! Our offense has been utterly terrible all year long. If only we could import the Vikings offensive braintrust; now there's our ticket to the playoffs!

How many points do think the PATS will ring up against Baltimore?
O'Brien has 2 weeks to gameplan
Lemme guess the flow....
1st down....Lawfirm up the middle for 1 yard
2nd down....Handoff to Morris on a sweep for -5 yards
3rd down....Brady forces to Welker incomplete or...
Brady gets smacked and fumbles.....

Face it New England
BB has decided that this is a bridge year and will waste yet another season of Brady's prime.
Enjoy 7-9
