Patriots Player Departure Rumor: Moss to Vikings?

Status
Not open for further replies.
You are kidding yourself then. The Vikings are no crappy redksins run by an idiot owner with no coaching. They went 12-4 WITHOUT Moss. What do you think they are going to do with him? It makes no sense to trade a HOF caliber WR and get... nothing in return but just a big void at #1 wideout. That 2012 pick is not going to be catching a dozen TD passes per season for Brady. Who picks up the slack in the HERE and NOW? There are no comparable weapons to Moss available for the Pats. We'll be lucky if that pick is better than #25 overall.

Now wait a second

Idiot Coaching: Check
Bad Ownership: Check

The Vikings are probably worse that the Redskins in ownership and coaching... The Redskins at least changed their mistakes and got a GM that can count money and a Hall of Fame Coach... the Vikings are barely living with Childress who is being carried by star players. going 12-4 means nothing when 4 of their wins came from piece of crap division teams. and a few more from even more crappy teams. The Pats went 11-5 without Brady... nobody is talking big for cassel are we?

For that, Childress might as well throw his first-born child in, too. . . .

He's pregnant?

The Jets suck...

I take back my previous post, I really hope it is for a defensive player that can make an immediate impact. That is what I will be wishing for when I go to sleep.

Greenway? Winfield (would want a late pick tossed in, but he would help the secondary)??

Greenway is crappy to mediocre at best. Winfield is pretty good but in the waning years of his career. Getting those players in return for Randy would be a stinker of a deal. What the Pats need is PASSRUSH and none of those players provide that. Plus the Pats add a gaping void at #1 wideout. Think Tate's ready for that? Puhleeze. He's a wonderful returnman a good #2, but the reason he even sees success at #2 is that teams are constantly scheming to try to stop Moss and Welker.

I stand by my word when I say this... I HIGHLY doubt the Pats will make stupid trades the Raiders would... we wgot a 1st for Seymour... We will not trade Moss for just a 3rd... Mankins will probably leave assuredly. He's a waste a space right now

I can see BB doing this trade for a 2012 1st round pick. Considering this is the last year of favres contract. maybe he figures a 2012 pick will be in the high teens. If Jackson is the starting QB

Can we trade for a 2012 draft pick in the absense of a CBA?

1.) Your opinion is not fact. You're welcome to it, but saying that a player is done is a swipe at that player when you do it, just as it's a swipe at that player when I do it.

2.) You have no idea what you're talking about with Derrick Johnson.

Ok, thanks for telling me how it is. Vrabel's numbers and watching him play last season and through three games this season and him not showing up, is him being done. He has a hard time setting the edge, backs get around him and he has trouble getting off blocks.

And yup I have no clue what I am talking about on Johnson, yet you've said 0 to support your argument.

The issue is not the absence of a CBA, per se, but the fact that without a CBA by the spring of 2012, there won't be a draft in 2012 at all.

In any case, though, my understanding is that if there is no draft in a given year, the trades would just carry over to the next draft that is held.

Why the hell would we go 2012 with the pick?? It's possible, sure, but hardly likely, so I don't know why it's being brought up...

No, Tate is no Randy Moss. You are right. But he will be a legitimate #1 sooner than you think. He was just as good, if not a better player than Hakeem Nicks at North Carolina. He is versatile, has good size, speed and he his pay is manageable. Moss is great and will be missed quite a bit more than I think BB will realize. He is a once in a generation player and that's all I go to say about that.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Greenway. Yes, Winfield is in the waning years of his career, but he is better than what we have at CB and he would help a lot, and moss for him straight up would be a stinker, which is why I said a late round pick as well.

When did I say anything about Tate? Seems regardless of who we trade for we will have a gaping hole at #1, no? They are not going to trade Rice and if they did he is weeks away from practicing let a lone playing and learning a new system. The trade will most likely be for a pick any how so the trade most likely won't address any of those needs immediately anyway.

I'm not sold on Edwards, doubt they would trade Henderson, either block in the William's wall or Allen. That doesn't leave much to hope for on their D.

Look i am not going to lie... i love randy and what he represents as the big play wide out who complements our underneath game perfectly... and i honestly think it will be a pretty big adjustment without him. But if this trade has to be i love the pats more and would honestly settle for 2nd and change this year or 1st in 2012 but i also think that optimism has to be tempered as maybe not realistic

Tea with LSD, coffee with crack.

Now, that's what I call a Gang of Four!

If you had told me Monday night that Moss would be traded by Wed, I'd say you would be partaking of all of the above and some of your Russian vodka.

Separation, indeed.

First thing you've said on the subject that's got any real validity, so I'll leave it at that.

Hell I'll take Sage freakin Rosenfails before we get another ****ing pick... we need bodies, not picks. I have faith

I have a funny feeling that we JUST might be able to wangle a 1st Rounder out'f'm!!

THAT...would be IMMENSELY cool.
