Played QB at college. WR last year, RB this year. He is an entire offense rolled into one.
I was shocked He wasn't used like that in not one play last season.

The fact that I didn't immediately laugh at this scares me. I hope our pass rush improves this year...Can he rush the passer?
I think he is a little small for that. But I would not bet against him at safety.
Getting the ball in this guys hands as much as you can is a smart move by the Patriots, as he is awesome in the open field. I hope people don't get the idea that he is a RB though, he's not big enough to take the pounding. I can see him in the backfield a few times a game though, depending on if he can pick up the blitz. This would add another dimension to the offense that would definitely put the D on their heels.
(A) As noted above, he's about the same size as CJ Spiller.
(B) Also, I think people see him more in a Kevin Faulk-style role than a Corey Dillon-type role.
The one big problem I see with Edelman running the football, is that he may make Maroney look like a north/south runner, but I'm very intrigued by this idea.
Chris Johnson: 5'11", 191lbs
Julian Edelman: 5'10", 198lbs
Just saying.
