Not to be in the argument, but this isn't objective:

The fact you say 'I would', means it is your personal opinion.

This is a rhetorical clusterf##k.

Objectivity does not require an absence of opinion. It requires that the opinion is unbiased and fact based.

Great, hopefully you will use it properly from here on.

I changed my mind. The part where you try to defend your objectivity was the best part.

While we're at it, if the Jets had weak drafts for the past three years how do the Pats compare?

I love Mangold. He's easily the best Center in the NFL. I like Moore. I think he's the 6th best guard in the NFL. Hell, I even think Woody is better than people want to give him credit for. That being said, I think Ferguson is overrated.

THIS ISN'T HIGHSCHOOL LITERATURE CLASS, IT'S A PATRIOTS FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, had to let that off.

oh well...it's STILL 12 grades beyond Rat fan's comprehension level...which rates between comatose and sub-Neanderthal...

Still TBD. This years has potential and there were a lot of higher picks that seem to fit.
Last year, based upon rookie seasons was disappointing. The final judgment will be based on whether the lack of rookie playing time for guys like Chung, Brace, McKenzie(due to injury)were because of the players ahead of them holding them back or them holding themselves back. Vollmer, Butler and Edelman make it an OK draft as is, but it won't be a good one if the rest of the day 1 players dont do more than last year.
2008 had a very good first round pick and so far not a whole lot more but there is a chance Wilhite, Wheatley or Crabel will develop.

Hahahahahaha yes!

You mean Faneca, the worst pass blocking guard in the league? That Faneca?

Someone clearly doesn't know what he's talking about with Faneca.. hate much?

Hi Mangold.

Unfortunately for you, D'Brickashaw is more important to the team as he is an elite left tackle. As you know, elite left tackles are much more important than elite centers. And obviously, Sanchez's jersey needs to be kept clean. This signing ensures that.

7 years because he has one year remaining on his current deal and obviously he just signed a 6 year extension.

D'Bust is an ELITE LT igsfly:

D'Bust is the 3rd best LT in the division and he's NOT even top 5 in the league. He is NOT an ELITE LT. That is you smoking the cheap stuff you stole from JaMarcus during his visit to the Jets..

I would accept 6 sacks instead of 3 or 4 or whatever the average is in order to bolster my running game when my offense revolves around the run, and the extra sacks every 5 games is a worthy sacrfice

...........

he's displaying the FAMOUS Rat fan propensity for flip flopping...

who will EVER forget the years of "Coles!!!!...no, Santana Moss!!!...wait, Coles!!!...Moss!!!...Coles!!!'

or the equally redundant "Chad!!!!...huh?...we did??? Favre!!!!!...what?..he did?...the SANCHIZE!!!!

add in the obligatory "We STOLE (insert any player taken in the draft) from the Patriots!!!!"

of course ,Faneca fits this propensity for idiocy to a T

A LT in your division inks an 8 year deal that averages out to under $10 per season.

Without seeing the structure, I'm sure it has the 8th year at somewhere between $10-13 million which he'll never see.

So basically, he signs a 7 year $60-63 million dollar deal and you Pasterisk fans have somehow decided you're excited about it.

It also pulls leverage away from Revis' argument that the Jets don't take care of their own, they signed their 2nd rounder today so are obviously in the midst of doing deals and whose to say Mangold isn't next?

Seems rather obvious he is.

But you spin doctors continue to pretend this is an exciting day in Pasterisk history.

Best of luck.

Since he's been here, this team has been one of the best drafting teams, and has built arguably one of the league's most talented rosters. I'd say he's a good GM.

You really are smoking the cheap stuff.. The Jets continue to have one of the shallowest rosters in the league..

if he's getting the minimum for the first 3 or 4 years, it could be a very reasonable deal overall for the jets

Let us know when you know anything about the salary cap and the current CBA,. He can't get the minimum over that amount of time because of the 30% rule, which governs contracts signed while under the current CBA.

He is 32-32 as a GM, why wouldn't you expect the average Jet fan to be making reservations for his induction in Canton?
Havent you been paying attention. A Jet that is average in the eyes of the rest of the world is an All-Pro to a Jet fan.

Brick is a very good player. Much better than Light. If you watched the Jets for the last four years, you would know that.

That said, 60million is alot of money when you have other bills to pay

*ROFLMAO*

Brick isn't better than Light. And the last 4 years proves that if you know anything about football.

Light may not even be able to stay on the field next season.

That's what happens when you start heading up the age hill.

Is it better to blow the 6th overall or an entire draft. Whats Chad Jackson up to theses days.

BB has not blown an entire draft. People like yourself should know wtf they are talking about before posting..

Chad Jackson was ONE player. A 2nd round pick. That is a LOT different than the #6 OVERALL.
