I have a better idea, how about you suck your mom's ****?
No wonder you're a dumbass, you're no older than 15.
Could Jets fans be anymore desperate?
Desperate for what? Desperate to correct an incorrect blowhard toughguy on the internet when he spouts off ignorantly?
Yes they did. Even if you're in denial about what effect it will have on the passing game (liability or not, he'd still be an improvement over Ducasse at this point as Ducasse is a rookie), his presence will almost certainly be missed in the running game. He also make Ferguson a much better looking LT when he began lining up next to him.
I'm not in denial about anything. You're just wrong, again. Faneca was let go because he was a liability. If you really want stats, go look up the running plays the Jets ran last year, and get back to me which side of the line they ran behind most of the time. He was a leader, but his performance wasn't worth it, and the Jets have leadership on the OL in an emerging Mangold, Ferguson, and Woody. Add a solid RG in Moore, the Jets have plenty of leadership and a veteran presence to take on a rookie transition.
Yeah, we have a guy named Bussey that no Jets fan would know either. Like Slauson, nobody knows exactly what Bussey is capable of. Are you really counting on him or Ducasse to come in and immediately produce at a Pro Bowl level?
Good, because it looks like you'll need him to replace the Patriot's best OL'n in Mankins.
And look what happened in the AFC Championship when Shonn Greene went down and there wasn't anybody behind him that could be a viable threat in the backfield. And really, you shouldn't use the AFC Championship to make a point. The Jets should have been 7-9 last year but got the luck of the draw for the last few weeks of the season.
Exactly, the fact that Jones played so poorly in the playoffs last year is why he is now in Kansas City and why LT is on the team. Why shouldn't I use AFC Championship to make a point, because the Jets went to the game, the Pats didn't, and it kills you!!!!
It's pretty much fact that a compound fracture is easier for an athlete to get over than a torn ligament in, say, the knee.
So now you're a doctor? Can he come back? Sure... But the FACT is, nobody knows, and nobody knows if he will ever be the same. He also may start the season on the PUP, and would have been due a big contract next year, nobody knows what Leon will be, so the Jets were proactive in replacing him, and thinking of the future with the other roster decisions they have the next couple of years.
McKnight lasted until the later rounds in a draft that was absolutely piss-poor for running backs. Nobody wanted him up until the point that the Jets took him. On top of that, if you're going to try to throw out the point about Leon Washington because of his injury, you definitely shouldn't make the logical error of counting in a rookie who was taken in the later rounds who hasn't even touched a handoff in a professional game. That's just horrible logic, not that I'm suprised being that it's coming from a Jets homer.
Uh huh, just like Leon Washington did when the Jets drafted him. McKnight was also one of the more heralded high school players in recent history, the talent and potential is there, and he will be our #3 RB, a great pick to replace Washington, who we DON'T know if he will ever be the same. All of this STILL doesn't change the fact Washington was lost last year in week 5 and was a non-factor in the year the Jets had last year, and here you are spinning his loss heading into this year. You aren't very bright.
First of all, Schottenheimer was a quarterbacks coach with San Diego. He didn't work directly with Tomlinson. Second of all, you didn't replace Thomas Jones with L.T. You replaced Jones with Shonn Greene. You replaced Greene with L.T. Third of all, anybody with two eyes (this includes Charger fans prior to L.T. getting traded. And if you don't believe me, just skim their threads from a few months back) can tell you that L.T. is absolutely, positively, on his last legs. He is just about done. He looks like Larry Johnson after the tires began to fall off and Priest Holmes before him.
I'm quite aware of what Schottenheimer was in SD, he's also a highly regarded offensive coach now who will probably be a head coach in this league in the next 5 years. He runs a system much like Cam Cameron did, and he was a coach under his own father, who LT LOVED to play for. We replaced Jones with LT, a younger player with much more ability and add his ability as a receiver, much more dynamic. This cannot be disputed. LT to Larry Johnson is a horrible comparison, they are both very different backs. You clowns want to point out his ypc last year, but he was hurt the last two years, and the Charger OL is awful, especially in rushing offense. Sproles ypc last year was only 3.6, I guess he's getting old and lost a step too!!!
Holmes was a Super Bowl MVP with a guy who would have been a HOFer had he been able to resist the rape throwing to him. Sanchez is another story. He was, by far, the worst QB in the league last year who didn't weigh 300 pounds and play for the Raiders.
Could he improve? Maybe. But chances are it won't be sizeable. Even then, there are far more QB's with rookie years like Sanchez's who washed out of the league afterward than there are QB's with similar rookie years who went on to become franchise quarterbacks. If he has another year like he did in 2009, you idiots will turn on him like sharks that smell blood in the water.
Holmes was a STEAL of a pickup, and any spin you offer to dispute is just sour grapes. You cannot question the ability he has and the dynamic he will add to this Jets team.
Spare me on your Sanchez rhetoric, it reeks of penis envy. The kid has the goods, he struggled and was inconsistent just like all the great QB's did in their first season. When the lights came on for real in the post season, he emerged as a franchise QB, and this kills you!!!!!!!!!! :singing:
Jenkins is 30 years old with bad knees and a lengthy injury history. Not really a good thing.
Jenkins isn't a RB or a WR, he got hurt early in the year last year and is fully healthy, unlike Welker, who is a WR and needs his legs. Jenkins is a top 3 NT in this league, spin it all you want, his return is like adding another player this year since he missed most of the season last year, considering the Jets were the #1 defense last year, that's a scary thought, isn't it???
L.T. is just about done, Holmes is suspended for the first quarter of the season when the Jets face the first part of their division schedule, Jason Taylor has always been a liability against the run and was suddenly a liability in the pass rush last season (on top of being as old as dirt), Cromartie is incredibly overrated and hasn't had a good season since 2007 (on top of the fact that he doesn't like to tackle), and you guys are very much overrating Brodney Pool. This is on top of the fact that you'll be starting someone who is highly inexperienced at LG. Really, the only people who consider you guys favorites are the media (New York based, of course), and for that the Jets are awarded a big bullseye on their backs from teams asking themselves, "who the hell is this sh!t team that hasn't won anything since the first lunar landing and why are they talking?".
You have NO clue what shape LT is in. Holmes was a steal PERIOD. Think of it this way, when Holmes comes back, he'll step right in and be a major cog to an already very talented offense, while Welker may not be back until week 7.
Cromartie is a CB that needs to play in a pressure schemed defensive system, he's not a zone player, the Chargers moved away from the aggressive scheme they played in his first two years when he was a pro bowl player. Rex said Cromartie was the most impressive workout he's ever seen as a CB, I think Rex knows a thing or two about defense, I'm just a wee bit more inclined to believe Rex instead of a pimple-nosed punk spouting off who doesn't have a clue!!!!
