He is a beast though.........rated #20 by scouts....
ness2Has shown vast improvement in this area from junior season. Possesses natural football instincts. Better awareness as a run blocker than in pass pro at this point. Shows a natural feel for when to come off of combo blocks to cut off LB's at the second level. Also does a nice job of indentifying and locating LB's on short pull. Consistently picks up blitzing defenders from second and third level. However, can be a second late recognizing and reacting to defensive line twists, stunts, and games in protection on occasion.Toughness1Possesses elite brute and playing strength. Tough and aggressive with play and will look to clean up piles at the end of runs. Plays with a mean streak and will mix it up on a drop of a dime. One of the better finishers we've seen on film in the past few years. Appeared to be a man playing amongst boys at times during film study.Pass Protection2Gets set quickly. Heavy handed and possesses an explosive punch to initially shock rushers. Uses long arms (34 ½) to keep rushers at bay. Shows an elite anchor and can sink hips to create leverage and withstand bull rush attempt. He can shuffle laterally with decent quickness but the more space he's in the more vulnerable he becomes. Hand placement and footwork can improve as well. Looks to help fellow offensive lineman out when nothing appears in his area.Run Blocking1A massive road grader on the interior. Elite point of attack skills. Possesses an explosive punch and an elite power base to root defenders off the ball. Hands can get outside of frame on occasion. Dominating when executing down blocks. Still needs refinement with footwork and angles but flashes ability to reach and cut off defenders when working from backside. Above-average quickness getting out of stance when pulling down the line of scrimmage. Also shows good agility in space to adjust on the move and cover up defenders in space. Makes an easy transition to the second level and consistently rag dolls LB's upon contact.
