I'm worried about this guy, I think he is a potential cotract holdout like Crabtree last year. He also didn't look like he prepared himself properly for his pro-day which is a really bad sign. Like what shape will this guy get into in the offseasons during his NFL career.Nice- not a bad signing. Now, if the Pats draft Dez Bryant, they'll be totally set at WR.
I can't imagine why anyone would dislike this signing. We've been b*tching ever since Gaff left, and Holt is better than Gaff. The Pats now have a legit WR corp again. Yes, he's not a spring chicken, but that doesnt mean he cant play. I expect Welker to be pup'd, so we needed another vet on the field, even if its a different role.
After week 6;
Moss
Welker
Holt
Edelman
thats better (imho) than what won us our first SB ;
Troy Brown
David Patten
Fred Coleman
Charles Johnson
Seriously. A lot of people on this board have been saying that Holt makes sense and b!tching about us not give Brady any new FA weapons [they just want all superstar weapons].
Well he's probably the best FA WR right now so you can't say the Pats are doing nothing in free agency: they've signed D. Lewis, Crumpler, Patten, and now Holt--that's more than most teams have done.
I think he is hugely talented but there are too many ifs about his personality for my liking.
