Carl Banks killing Peter King

Great back and forth debate with Peter King and Carl Banks regarding overtime changes..
Banks is killing him and I've never heard King off balance like this..
Sirius radio at its finest..

After hearing this, I've come to the conclusion King has great contacts and is a great writter BUT has no more understanding of the actual game than us fans do.

That was great radio. Loved hearing Jim Miller breaking down Tom Tebow the other day too. Him and Shine are awesome together.

Love Gil Brandt but him constantly calling Tim Tebow "Tom" right before he says Tebow will be president some day is cringe worthy. Especially sice he just said the Pats have signed Burgess. This should be Gil's last year. Especially on a Friday night.

King is a fine writer. He likes to hop on a soapbox, that's all. That makes him like pretty much everyone else who writes or speaks for a living.

He's not fine writer. He often makes both grammar and syntax errors, and those are only the faults in the technical aspects of his skills. He's lazy and bases his pieces only upon the information he receives from his toadies and he does it without digging. He's a drone.

A bit of tinfoil hat conspiracy and pure speculation here, but if Banks was calling out King, could it possibly have anything to do with having Belichick's back for the way King wouldn't let go of spygate? Don't forget, Banks was a linebacker in Belichick's defense for the Giants during that run when they were the best defense in the league and won two championships.

The fine ones do it all the time. That's one of the reasons they used to have editors (some still do, but with the downturn in journalism, some companies have deep-sixed a lot of them). Hell, half of the so-called "syntax errors" people accuse writers of aren't even mistakes.

Besides the grammar and syntax errors are supposed to be caught by editors and proof readers.

Oh, I don't like King, but let's fault him for four pages of coffeenerdness at airport where he can name drop amidst 1 page of opinions reported by others as fact because Joey Porter told Peter King.

Also, for overtime... why not just make it an 8 minute quarter?? Just like in basketball..the overtime period is almost half of an original quarter.
