From RotoWorld:

Karlos Dansby-LB- Cardinals Mar. 4 - 4:22 pm et

Free agent LB Karlos Dansby is reportedly on his way to Miami Thursday night.

We can't be sure that Dansby is on his way to sign with the Dolphins, but it's an obvious guess. The Dolphins were expected to make Dansby their highest priority, willing to pay the $30 million guaranteed to lock up the best linebacker on the market.

looks like they will be drafting Sergio Kindle, and not Rolando McClain, at #12

My bet is that Peppers will be a Bear or Redskin by the time you wake up.

Good I can ask this (probably dumb) question. Are all the big name guys signed within the first day to new teams, or does it take a week or two?

With what's going on with the uncap year, probably sooner rather than later.

$30M guaranteed for an Inside Linebacker?!

Looking back at the timeframes, it's pretty much the first week for a big names...

Haynesworth was 12:01 2/27
Fred Taylor was 2/27
Chris Baker was 2/27
Chris Canty was 3/1

Gotta give Miami credit, when they have a big need they do what is necessary to fill it no matter what.

Aaron Curry, a rookie who had only 53 tackels and 2 sacks got 10 million a year. and 34 million up front.

if a rookie can make that much at MLB why not a vet who is a lock to have over 100 tackels.

Thanks, so it is right away, literally. If the headline pops up "Peppers signs with Bears" the pats should pull the trigger and trade for Boldin. If they don't, I would already be disappointed we didn't make a splash in our two biggest holes. (3WR, pass rush).

Rookies making that much is the biggest problem with the league. Just because Curry got that deal it doesn't mean everyone should match it.

What happens in three years time when Mayo's deal is up? Will he demand that much?

The reality is that the framework for all of these deals is hammered out before, during and shortly after the combine.

Every free agent is linked to either the Bears or Redskins. Heck, Brandon Marshall is linked to the Bears eventhough they don't have a first rounder to even get Marshall. The Redskins rumors are always something you have to keep an eye on, but I will believe the Bears actually spend money in free agency when they actually do. People call Bob Kraft cheap and he isn't close to the penny pinchers that the McCaskerly family is.

Isn't that "tampering". I guess that's not enforced.
