Re: OT: Joey Porter released

I think the return on investment is to low. The trouble Porter brings isn't worth what the pats will get on the field. Go check out what the fans in miami think.....Almost unanimusly its good riddence.

I agree, I don't want him. Just disputing the claims that he's a worthless player on the field.

He's back on the Dolphins roster now, as they can't release him yet, lol.

Dolphins put Porter back on roster

Re: OT: Joey Porter released

There isn't even a snowball's chance in Hell Porter will end up with this team. His attitude and this team are like oil and water. I expect him to sign with the Jets.

Re: OT: Joey Porter released

Lol, that must be awkward.

Kinda like the Mike Lowell situation with the Red Sox. They've only tried to dump him 3 times and hes still on the 40-man roster.

Schefter reports on his Twitter that the NFL has disapproved the transaction.

He says it was because the Dolphins do not "currently" have the cap space to absorb the bonus acceleration on Porter's contract.

Yes, that's right. The uncapped season has not yet started, and it will not until the beginning of the new league year in March.

There was a DaBruinz/Miguel thread about this a few weeks ago. The new cap does not start until the beginning of the league year.

Big pickup for the Dolphins.

Just another example of the Dolphins superior ownership getting a free agent pass rusher before us.

Jason Taylor, now Porter.

He's going to have a big impact on how things turn out in the AFC East this year and I'm a bit scared.

I will root and support whatever player wears a NEP uniform, even if I despised him and thought he was a worthless POS him before he became a Patriot (e.g. Moss). But BB please don't make me have to root for that d-bag.

Very astute move by the Fins, they faked everybody out. I think the FO is now run by Aqua4ever.
