Belichick now has the tools to confuse Manning.

As a matter of fact, other than the two games up in snowy Foxborough, actually, it's been quite the opposite, Manning has owned Bellicheat.

If you talk like that then nobody will want to have an educated discussion with you.

Okay...BB didn't own Peyton during 01-04...he just beat him like a rented mule!

Works for me!

I enjoy reading what other rival fans think, I don't particulary care for people making up myths.

Is this a myth?

Sep. 30, 2001 Foxborough New England Patriots 44-13
Oct. 21, 2001 Indianapolis New England Patriots 38-17
Nov. 30, 2003 Indianapolis New England Patriots 38-34
Jan. 18, 2004 Foxborough New England Patriots 24-14
Sep. 9, 2004 Foxborough New England Patriots 27-24
Jan. 16, 2005 Foxborough New England Patriots 20-3

Colts?Patriots rivalry - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Then since:

Nov. 7, 2005 Foxborough Indianapolis Colts 40-21 Colts killed.
Nov. 5, 2006 Foxborough Indianapolis Colts 27-20 GREAT game.
Jan. 21, 2007 Indianapolis Indianapolis Colts 38-34 INFURIATING 4th qtr comeback.
Nov. 4, 2007 Indianapolis New England Patriots 24-20
Nov. 2, 2008 Indianapolis Indianapolis Colts 18-15 Without Brady, the Colts win by the smallest victory ever between the two teams.

Then why feed into it? The only thing you can do is ignore it.

I enjoy discussing the game with rival fans who are intelligent. I am eager to get their views on their teams and on how they see us.

However, unfortunately, that has been far and few here.

While Manning may not have had awful numbers from 2001-05, no one can deny 6 straight Patriots victories during that period.

That's not even relevant to our discussion.

How is it not relevant?

And how can you ignore Manning's repeated playoff failures - whether against us or the Chargers, or whoever.

For the "most celebral QB in the league", his brain seems to fail him nearly every January. Because its not his arm that's blowing those games.

Again: he's a great quarterback. I'm not arguing that. The "cerebral" side of his game is a little overblown, that's all.

Does the coaching staff give him more control over the plays? Sure. He can read a defense, good for him, all the other 31 QBs have to do it and some of them do it just as well as he does (Brady, Brees). The difference is the Patriots offensive system is more complicated than the Colts. If the Colts had the Pats system, would Peyton still have as much control over the plays? Who knows? The jury is still out on if how that hillbilly would do in a system like the Pats.

I fear Manning's arm and his precision. I still think, with this revamped secondary, Belichick can defeat his brain.

We'll find out soon enough...

Wait - whats the point of this thread again?

I got bored at work one day and decided to research the offensive efficiency between the Patriots 3 SB runs and the Colt's last 3 OAD's......

I was surprised to find out that the Colts offense was more efficient. Higher completion %, more yards per play, more sustained drives, more yards per drive, less punts, less TO's.

So, I wouldn't exactly go around pointing the Colts postseason failures at Peyton Manning.

That's asinine. The Colts losses came in domes. 6 out of the 9 Pats playoff games were outdoors in the Northeast, most in brutal snow or cold, and all against the very best teams in the league.

Peyton Manning has played in 15 playoff games. In eight of those, he has put less points on the board than the opposing QB.

Tom Brady has played in 17 playoff games, in 14 of those games he has put more points on the board than the opposing QB.

Period. Don't trick me with bogus stats that make you difficult to take seriously.

Here's a better Peyton photo...

That picture still gives me nightmares. If he ever wins the Super Bowl again, I'm moving to France.

Okay, not France ......... somewhere warm.

...."Abby someone?...tell me exactly,Igor...Abby who?....

Since when did Manning become the "most cerebral QB" in the NFL? Seriously, has anyone ever heard Manning talk??? Also, the only thing that Manning has over Brady is that Manning has the bigger EGO...

awwww...c'mon, DaB....Payty sorta grows on ya after a while

if this keeps bothering you there's always THIS-------------->

Ignore him man. You can't argue with someone like that.

When I was driving home from work last night I heard Damon Amendolara say that on 98.5 FM and thought this guys has to be an idiot if he thinks that hayseed is "the most cerebral QB". I didn't know about that article. So maybe he was only referring to that. Anyway he kept pronouncing Patriots as pay-TREEuts. So I still think he's an idiot.

One of the best parts about this is that we'll only have to put up with 4xMVP (who has yet to give his thoughts on the fact that Jimmy Johnson learned of the video taping techniques from Tony Dungy's staff) until Sunday night. After that, he's gone and we get to welcome in the Jets trolls.

I'm kinda surprised they didn't have the cover reflect the rivalry.

My guess is that they are listening to the majority of the Colts fans out there and agree with them that the Pats don't stand a chance in this game.
