I beat you to it by a long way, NUT. See the NFL Forum.

Yup - you get credit.

Of course as I read Lewis griping about having demanding practices I can't help but think that Belichick has alos had his fair shares of tough practices.

No doubt Belichick has the experience to know when to be tough and when to lighten up... and the players respect that he's justified when he puts them through a demanding series of practices.

Maybe it could be that Mangini just hasn't lightened up, but I think this is more about respect. There's probably coaches out there who are no less tough than Mangini - the difference is that they've earned their players respect.

Mangini has done just the opposite.

But

Mangini could easily be running his practices exactly as hard as Belichick's. But with Belichick players see a plan in place, and they see week after week that that plan pays off on gameday. With Mangini the players probably don't see the point, they don't understand why Mangini does what he does and it never seems to make any difference. So obviously it doesn't take them long to start complaining.

I envision Mangini coaching in a small white padded room ...

Mangini has boobs

as much as i despise mangini a paid professional shouldnt complain about overworking as an excuse. your team sucks. just shut up and practice. just my 2 cents .maybe iam wrong.

From the article:

"So if things are so bad, why doesn't he walk into Mangini's office and tell him things aren't working?

"Because that's not my role," he said. "It hasn't been my role with any coach that I've ever been with. You have to evaluate your situation. You have to look at what's going on. You have to look at your players. You have to figure out why."

Umm....what??? I'm not defending mangini here, but WHAT the hell is the reasoning behind THAT????

'It's not my role for me to complain to the coach, so I'll just complain to the press'.

Brilliant.

Have you ever had a job?

Working in an environment where you're heavily understaffed is terrible. Theres just no hope. You know you're going to fail, and you know you're going to have to bust your ass to do it.

nope ..never had a job . never lifted a piece of paper or did anything. just sit here and post at forums. relax with the personal stuff. its just my opinion.

I don't understand what SVN's work experience has anything to do here.

Must only those individuals who busted their backs in heavily understaffed, hopeless, and 'going to fail' organizations comment how ludicrous this crying to the press looks?

Looks like you are trying to give insights on why he is malcontent but I doubt if the rest of us are slamming him for that.

Some day he'll be a coordinator for **** Jauron.......

Not bad for a Fat Ball Boy!!

I think the Browns have plenty of talent and potential to be a real good team in the near future if the FO gets rid of a waste of a HC like Mangini and hires someone like Chucky or Cowher next season.

With a good HC I think the Browns are at least an 8-8 team..at least on paper.

The SEC doesn't play 16 game seasons...
