Galloway has been a huge disappointment this year--remember we thought this guy was supposed to outdo Stallworth and Gaffney? Pats fans are becoming too midwestern-like with their patience for players. I think TWO full regular season games, a full preseason, an ultra rigorous training camp, dozens of practice sessions, and numerous film room discussion meetings has been more than AMPLE time for Galloway to get on the same page with Brady. Gotta have the guts to cut, it's time I think--I'm sure week 3 will be make or break for Galloway.
I agree with the previous responses that Nunn should get some playing time. He looked really good in preseason(for what it's worth who knows). What impressed me about Nunn was not his speed, but the way he makes physical adjustments towards ball thrown his way--catching the ball at its peak, or making subtle body maneuvers to snag a ball slightly underthrown in the middle of the field. He did his best to make Hoyer look better than he really was. This is a great quality for a receiver, and every qb loves this. I hope BB gives Nunn a chance, it's the best option I think right now for the no. 3 slot
In 2006, Gaffney played in 11 games for the Patriots. He had a total of 11 receptions. He had 36 receptions in 2007 and 38 in 2008.
His catch totals for the first 7 games of 2007: 1,1,2,0,1,2,1. He had only 3 games all that season with 5 catches or more, to go along with 0 games in 2006 and 4 in 2008.
Galloway had 5 catches in his second game with the team. Just for giggles, let's give the old man some time.
