Julian Edelman, Kent State......Wildcat QB

J D Sal

You tell it's going to be a "Who?" pick when it takes ESPN 2 minutes from the time the pick is in to getting the name, position and college up on the screen.

As a WR, no less. . . .

And the guy's Wikipedia page was created after the pick was made.

Julian Edelamn.....OK OK..time for the NE slash.....a QB..RB....possible S??? WR...not bad...

Haha, I'm an idiot. I just now found this thread. I guess I assumed we'd discuss the draft in the draft subforum, so I've lurked there all day and wondered where everyone else was. Anyway, I just started a thread about undrafted free agents, so I'd love to hear your input if we don't snag some of these guys with our two seventh rounders.

I'm really hoping for Julian Edelman .

congrats...!!

YES! I wanted Edelman badly. See my post above. *grins*

This makes me happy. How about Rashad Jennings now?

Julian Edelman. Did we need another WR or is he a ST ace?

Apparently, BB cannot read your thoughts. :)

Does this make it more likely that Tate goes on IR?

Wow, what a call! Tell us why!

Edelman, college QB who racked up all sorts of rushing yardage, to the point that he almost broke records, I believe.

He was actually Kent State's QB. Take from that—and his introduction as a WR—what you will.

take a RB here!!!!!!!!

With the 234th pick (and final Patriots pick in the 2009 Draft), the #Patriots select DT Darryl Richard from Georgia Tech. (via twitter)

Well that is that 3 DT drafted..

Look up his three-cone and short shuttle. Elite, elite numbers. Top that off with a thousand yards rushing and thousand yards passing his senior year, and I really believe that he's going to be an excellent ST player, developmental WR, and wildcat specialist. I'm pretty excited.

I see this J.Edelman pick as a practice squad guy to help us prepare for the Phins wildcat stunts. Great thinking by BB since Miami got Pat White.

I think he'll do more than that, but good thinking.
