3 second rounders next year? Hmmmmm, maybe BB is readying himself to trade all 3 of them to the Panthers for Peppers post draft ............................

You might get pounced on for this . . .

Doubt it. Like bruinz said. We have a huge crop of free agents next season. We don't know who is staying is who is going. A lot of uncertainty there. So they are just getting prepared is my thinking.

*pulls up Boston.com to see if there has been a mass suicide off the Tobin yet since the Pats DIDN'T take a outside pass rusher*

Seriously, I am so glad that those people aren't here complaining about the Patriots not drafting a pass rusher yet.

Now, I will say that I am surprised the Pats didn't go for Liugs or another inside lineman. But, then, they do have Yates, Hochstein, Connolly, Johnson, and Wendell behind Koppen, Neal and Mankins. Hmm.. That still scares me.. But Johnson could be intriguing.

It's been said, but reading his scouting reports indicates definite inside linebacker on Pats.

And he's from my school!! (graduate school). The USF Bulls program came out of nowhere to a top five ranking then dropped just as quick.

Check that, it was number 2! Of course they lost their next three games lol.

Following in the footsteps of the immortal Kenyatta Jones (hope not)

I loved the post-draft comment on Jones ("Not even the best Kenyatta in his draft class.") I laughed for days at that one. I am admittedly easily amused.

LB just became a strength in the next couple of years. Mayo, Mckenzie, Guyton, Thomas, Bruschi( last yr deal) Crable, Redd.. Did I miss someone?

This definitely makes more sense to me than any deal with the Panthers using those picks. I hate to admit it, but the more I think about it, the more I feel Seymour will NOT be a Pat after this season.

I still think there is something in the pipeline for Peppers...

With three second rounders next year, there is still a chance. I am not holding my breath, but I wouldn't be shocked if he is traded.

DB,

Kick Kaczur inside next yr and Vollmer is our RT for the next 7-10 yrs. Of course, with my yellow and purple glasses I would want Herman Johnson

I love how ESPN is now talking about unlikely hits in the late rounds, a "Matt Cassel type." It's a gratifying passing of the torch from the "a Tom Brady type" of years past.

Kaczur is a RFA next year as is Mankins. So, they need to add someone, in my opinion. Also, I don't feel that Kaczur has the nastiness to be inside for the Pats.

What is with the Browns they have the USC LB core from two years ago almost in the last two drafts

The bad part is that we don't have a 4th round pick. The good part is that our 5th is a comp pick so the Pats have to take SOMEONE!

And Stephen McGee is off the table, to the Cowgirls.

Liugs to the Bungles.. Someone there finally learned how to draft.. I think..

Highly doubt it with all the Free Agents next season.

My thinking is:

A. Belichick is very high on Crable.
B. There really was noone in this draft that BB thought could play LB for the Patriots that warranted a high pick.
C. Maybe Jason Taylor is a very real possibility for the Patriots

Must admit I was disappointed like many that we didn't tab a Barwin or E Brown to play OLB for the Pats. Woke up this morning and tried rational thinking and this is what I came up with.

agreed and I agree about Kaczur. At least he would be a younger version.

He was an amusing character, at least in his method of causing the Pats to cut their ties.

I don't think he was a reach talent wise, as Kenyatta Walker was a first rounder and should have been picked ahead of Seymour according to that great talent evaluator Ron Borges. He was quite the El Busto too, though.

Of course a great line is a great line, I enjoyed it.
