Please post your discussions of day 2 of the 2009 Patriots draft on this thread.

As of now, the Patriots have picks #'s 72,83,89,& 97 in the 3rd round. I have no idea what trader Bill did with the rest except we have some comp picks that he can't trade and it must be killing him.

Seems to me that one of those 3s could go for a 2010 2nd rounder... can't see them taking players with all 4 third rounders... would they make the squad ?

But thats what we said about the 2nd rounders too! I say TE, RB, OL, LB..

I also hope we can trade one of our 4 3rd round picks for a 2010 2nd round pick.

Guys I'm liking in round 3:

G/C
Jonathan Luigs
Antoine Caldwell
Trevor Canfield

ILB
Scott McKillop
Jason Williams
Jasper Brinkley

WR
Jarrett Dillard
Kenny McKinley
Juaquin Iglesias
Austin Collie

DE
Jarron Gilbert

TE
Shawn Nelson

OLB
Lawrence Sidbury

Despite the curse, maybe with 4 picks they'll get at least one of them! Of course McKinley is the most likely since he's rated as a 5th rounder.

I do wonder if there's any room on the roster for Rashad Johnson, Jamon Meredith, Kevin Barnes, Gerald Codogan, or Keenan Lewis--but probably not.

I've decided to stop thinking about guys that the Patriots should draft until next year. I say that every year.

LOL, wise man. I did have Butler as one of my two choices at #23, so I'm keeping the faith!

Good thought! Wouldn't be surprised to see a few specialists ie LS Jake Ingram? Also looking for where DE Gilbert and LB Appleby end up!!! Here's hoping!

*sigh* I say the same thing every year, but then another binky finds me. . . .

When does it start?

don't forget QB and RB

WOW.. Jets traded their 3rd, 4th and 7th to get to 65.. And I think they'll only have 1 pick left. If that

I'd love to see the Pats grab Jarron Gilbert today

Possibly Michael Johnson DE GT?

Hey . . . after this, all they have left are a 6 and a 7.

Good I won't have to stomach watching the Jets...just Jerry Jones and Dallas

My day 2 binky is Shonn Greene.

I would be thrilled to see the pats grab him with their next pick
