But, as a poster ever so succinctly pointed out, "Binkies pick you." There's a certain amount of irrationality inherent in it to begin with.

Interestingly, we could have had my "dream draft": Delmas at 26, Barwin at 40, Beatty at 41 and Gilbert at 58. BB passed on all of them. That doesn't mean he didn't like them, but obviously he didn't see in them what I thought I saw.

You are right we have not addressed our ANEMIC pass rush.....this draft is typical Pats draft......no excitement and no surprises.......I know very little about Chung......BC guy........ok..........all is typical........But as you say...Pats pash rush DEFICITS have not improved.......and as we all know, hard to win a SB without getting SOME pass rush on the opposing O.........

The day Bill starts drafting to address what fanboys have determined to be need or for their viewing excitement and surprise...will be the day he needs to move on. It's fun to guess or follow draft talk but when you begin to believe you know more than a HOF HC and his professional staff, you're borderline delusional.

Honestly, I blame this all on Madden and fantasy football...

Whether or not next season is uncapped, taking Ron Brace that high tells me that there is no point of keeping Wilfork. I really like Chung but thought they could have waited, trading with Oakland seemed extremely pointless. However, I really like where they got Darius Butler. The Pats are now pretty loaded in the secondary.

Vollmer is going to be a stud. Just give him a couple of years. This guy has been on my radar for quite some time. Never thought he would go in the 2nd round though.

Finally, some sense. Those players are options -- and always have been. It's o.k. to have favorite players...but the draft forum was :deadhorse:
over Barwin for months.

Let's see what happens on day two, as we may still address the DE/OLB position.

What's funny is that most of the Barwin argument centered around whether he was worth a 1st or 2nd round pick. Turns out he was a mid-2nd round pick. So what. And no one knows where the Pats had him. Clearly not as high as Butler, Brace, or Chung, but then, I'm not certain the Pats have felt that OLB is as much of an issue as we, the fans.

Yes, there are others, and some of us who have said so. Including Box. Yet, he still got attacked regularly by people. As did I. Regardless of the fact that Box was talking about Barwin long before the combine. But that didn't matter.

Sebastian is VERY good. Wide span, will probably end up an excellent right tackle for us.
