How is Fatso since Fruit Loops left the show? I liked them together but always hated the show when one was on vacation.

The show is a horrible listen, he cant do it on his own.. You can see that Mad dog was the driving force on the show and Francesa cant do it on his own..

2008 Schotty got Favre and had to throw out his whole playbook to play Favre ball.

I have heard that Schotty was seriously handcuffed in terms of what he could call by Mangini in 08, is this your belief ?

So far Shotty Jr has been an average coordinator at best. This year was just strange since he had to completely change his playbook in the middle of training camp. Last year he had two players on the offensive line who aren't even in the NFL today. In 2006 he did some nice things with Pennington, lots of motion and and shifting.

I'd like to keep him around since the Jets 3 young qb's are familiar with his system.

I don't see anyway he winds up as the Pats new OC this year. He's under contract with the Jets and while they might let him go I'm fairly certain it's not going to be to the pats.

shows terrible now. francessa is knowledgeable but very condescending. he needs a sidekick to spice up the show. too bad the best person to do that is on the Morning Show with Boomer.

i think they both suck on their own. whenever Francessa left the Dog on his own the show was terrible. Mad Dog knows nothing about sports, in fact, i am convinced, after listening to him for years that he doesnt even watch sports.

I love this idea. There's nothing I want to see more than Kris Jenkins going all out in the first half of games. That way, when he's completely useless by the fourth quarter, teams will be able to run right up the middle of the field using kittens as running backs.

Plus, the idea of last year's first round pick screwing up at top speed and trying to change directions bring a big smile to my face.

Yeah, you're right. You have every reason to believe this based on the defenses Rex Ryan has put on the field in his past. Those defenses were terrible!

I'll believe it when I see it. Schottenheimer runs a mix of the West Coast offense and Marty Ball. He is conservative as crap. Doesn't seem like a fit in New England. I don't see Belichick hiring him.

If Belichick does hire Schottenheimer, I won't be thrilled. But I will give Belichick the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he is doing. Maybe the conservative crap was because Mangini likes to play not to lose a lot.

I dont buy this story. First of all, who in the Pats organization would give this info to Fatcessa? BB would rifle the employee who goes around saying the Pats want to hire their division rivals OC.
More importantly, it just doesnt fit. BB has shown a complete, unwavering philosophy that he makes coordinators, not hires them. There is absolutely no doubt at all that BB decides what we run on offense (its possible that Weis had input in design, but the philosophies are all BB) and he will not bring someone in from outside to bring an offense in. The OC of the NEP as long as BB is here will be someone who learned offensive philosophy while working for BB.
BB gives responsibility to people he has taught, not people who learned someone elses way.

"We love Brian," Johnson said. "We think he's an excellent coach, he's an excellent coordinator. He comes from a superb coaching family. I believe he's going to stay. I believe he thinks this is the best thing. He's excited about being here. We're excited to have him."

I have every reason to believe this based on what Ryan said. He said they were going to dump the read and react scheme. He said they were going to move to an attack defense. He said they'd make their mistakes at 100 mph. I believe the man, I do!

Those defenses were terrible!

No dude, they were pretty awesome. Thankfully he doesn't get to bring his defense with him, short of maybe one player.
