True, but not just because of him. If the D and offensive line doesn't improve he will not have any chance. Do I think he can lead NE to the superbowl? No, but the TEAM around him needs to improve to be competitive and who knows, anything can happen IF they play as a team and continue to improve during the year.

Except for last season, one of the traits I loved about the pats was how they improve as the season goes along and play better when it counts.

But that is only guessing. I have no idea of how this year will be. I am remaining hopeful and will support my team.

Agree completely. The superbowl CAN be reached this year, but not with Matt " Oh goodness I think I see a defensive player on my side of the line of scrimmage I better tuck the ball and lay down on the ground so they don't hurt me" Cassel at QB.

I would be satisfied with 5-3 at the half, but this might be wishful thinking. We might end up 4-4 instead.
