Brady has at least an MCL and is likely to be out until at least Game 9.

Don't tease me with this title. If Brady only tore is MCL, I'd probably go do cart wheels in the office. By all accounts, its ACL at worst, MCL as well is possible, and god forbid, its that triad they talk about where the meniscus is F'd, too.

Now, let me detach myself from my Brady mancrush for one second: Matt Cassel is the starting QB for the Patriots. We'll take it one game at a time and see how he does. He passed his first test yesterday and then some. He is good enough to take this team - that, by the way, is stocked with a lot of Pro Bowl level talent - and bring them to the postseason.

From there, anything can happen. I just feel bad for Tom mostly today, and I think it'll take some time before I can really get back into thinking about the games, how we'll fare, etc.

I am not usually the "Kool-aide" type, but this is the best time to take a big bite of HUMBLE PIE, wash it down with BB Koolaide and know BB will do what he thinks is best.

I voted Cassell. He's still with the team after a horrible preseason. The coaches see something in him.

im hoping brady has a quick recovery and is back after the bye.
As he said he always wants to be out there playing. i think hes gonna work hard and come back quicker than we all think and more detirmened

Imagine if lightning strikes twice and Matt Cassel ends up being a huge diamond in the rough. Imagine if he turns out to be even better than Brady?

You laugh, but people would have laughed at the same thing in 2001.

You just never know what could happen. Anything is possible, Kevin Garnett told me so.

I picked O'Connell who should by mid-season have enough playing time with the starters, plus learned how to make the defensive reads and adjustments. His footwork and ability to run will take some of the pressure off the OL.
