I think the kid can still play and has too much talent to give up on so quickly. Stallworth and Washington "could" be one year deals.
Absolutely. The good news is that he doesn't have to be the Moss of old. If he can pull in 700-800 yards and attract away some of the defense's attention, that is a STEAL for a 4th-round pick.
you ABSOLUTELY do not cut Jackson. if anything he goes on the IR with an ingrown toe nail
Schefter said Moss agreed to dramatically reduce his salary to make the deal happen. He also said that Kraft and Brady signed off on this deal before it was made.
Do they deal one of their surplus receivers for more picks next year?
This is a peculiar move considering the Pats offense and overstock of WRs.
I think RM's behaviour problems have been exaggerated (he's more like a kid with "ADD" than a Pacman case). My only concerns with this trade are how Moss fits into the Pats' offense (the deep ball hasn't been one of Brady's best attributes) and the impact of his prior injuries/age on his play. It would be a heck of a trade if Moss pans out (especially if he can go for more than 2 years) and not too difficult a cost if Moss doesn't pan out.
The idea of Moss and Brown on the same team is like a Twilight Zone episode. Should be fun. I'm worried about Troy's spot on the team, now. Maybe he'll retire at this point.
