Did anyone else notice that Randy Moss was the first one off the field after game and he didn't stay around for the trophy presentation?

I don't think this was touched upon in other threads. I was looking forward to seeing him celebrating his first trip to the Super Bowl with some of the other first timers. It would give the media a chance to see another side of him given the publicity this week. I hope he was just cold, cause if the Patriots win in Glendale in two weeks, I'll be disappointed if he just walks off like it's another game.

Maybe this is a non-issue, but I was hoping for a justification.

This is what I was asking in another thread, if anyone saw him in the postgame pictures.

Alert the press: he left with 0.02 seconds left in the game!

I know for sure, he wasn't interviewed by ESPN or CBS.

After the game, one player on the Patriots left the field instead of celebrating. Is it an overreation to ask why this player left the field early? I would notice and ask the same question if it was Maroney, Brady, or almost any other starter.

I was in 339 and I watched him run off the field after shaking hands with maybe one or two other players. Even the whole Chargers team was still on the field. Randy did acknowledge the crowd as he went up the runway to the locker room.

Perhaps he was avoiding the media circus that could have resulted from his being around after the events of the last week-plus. If that is the case, he was doing something for his teammates, allowing them to celebrate and not have that dampened by questions unrelated to football.

Then maybe he was just cold. Was the whole team on the field? There were only a few players up on the platform to accept the trophy.

We have Bingo. Although I think it was just as much for his own benefit. Who wants to answer those awkward questions from Nantzy anyway?

    #12 Jersey

    good point.

i really hope we can give randy his first ring in 2 weeks. as one of if not the best to ever play his position, he deserves one as much as any player if u ask me.

Randy was the first player off of the field by about 5 minutes. The rest of the team stayed on to celebrate and get a shirt or hat. Randy left before he could get either. Not everyone waited for the trophy presentation to start. I think Seymour and another O-lineman went off together. But they did talk with Chargers then celebrate with teammates.

That makes the most sense. Any interview would have had the assault incident somehow worked into it. If I were Moss I wouldn't want to deal with that nonsense either.

That makes a lot of sense. I hope that's the reason. I just wanted to see the guy having enjoy his first conference title considering all the crap he's had to put up with this week and throughout his career.

If we're speculating, maybe he's disappointed he didn't have a big game. I don't know though, hopefully it's no big deal.

I think Randy wants to be low-key. Or he may have been told by his legal team to keep a low profile once the game is over.

    Disable Jersey

Seriously? He was probably avoiding the media due to the events of the past week. He also didn't have a press conference despite having one last week with the same production.

Maybe he has his own way of celebrating? Who cares really.
