Clemens beat it in court, not that it mattered to the BBWA.
True. I think Manning will "beat" it, too, because there's really no way, at least not yet, of proving he took it. It was sent to his wife, after all. The big question is why? Did she have a medical reason for it or was it for something else (her recovering husband)?

HGH can be subscribed for fertility for women. This matches up with the time frame of her pregnancy with Manning's twins.

Fertility for a woman can be a pretty touchy/extremely personal subject. I highly doubt a woman would want that being public knowledge.

Then why did she get it from the Guyer Institute? Fertility is not one of their services. It's an anti-aging clinic.

Yes.

The twins were born March 31st, 2011.

If my math is correct, in order to conceive she would have been receiving/taking hormone therapy in the months leading up to July of 2010 (9 months prior to 3/31/2011).

Sly started 10/17/2011- after Ashley had the kids.

I have no idea. I have no idea if that is what happened, or if he used it, or anything. I really don't know. None of us do.

I am not as quick to dismiss this as ESPN is. I think that is just dumb. Having said that, outside of literally one story about Peyton in college, no one here has any shred of evidence that Peyton is not a stand up person.

And before people bring up Lance Armstrong or Tiger Woods, again, I COULD BE WRONG. I just think that Manning strikes me as a pretty good guy.

Manning can still be a "good guy" and have done this. Desperate to recover from a neck surgery, probably at the lowest point of his life, figures he won't do it long term, just to recover. Lying now out of fear.

This doesn't mean he's a bad person, just an aging professional athlete with a killer competitive drive and a lot to live up to.

That's a great observation, and put it in the context of his life. Pressure and expectation from a very young age. Would be nice to see him have a graceful exit from the game. He has been the author of many good and bad memories.

Honestly, I could careless if he did do it or not.

Honestly, me too. I frankly find it less credible that he DIDN't do something like this to recover from that surgery and come back to play (however briefly) at a high level.

I just want our guy treated fairly, too.

Draping one's balls onto an unsuspecting female trainer's face is a pretty big "literally one story", even if you ignore all the rumors of his active sex life not involving his wife.

Also you woudnt want to take something like that while breastfeeding, if she breastfed that is.

I would agree.

However, I've seen in the media that the usual pundits are falling over themselves to give Manning "the benefit of the doubt." This is fair and appropriate.

NOBODY was willing to do this for Brady a few months ago.

That's exactly what frustrates me.

By the way, if you know the story about the college trainer, you realize that Manning's horrible behavior with her extended well into his professional career. First, there was the court case, so this was into his professional career. Then there was the book he wrote in which he defamed her and showed no remorse. Called her a pottymouth. While I don't think being a college dope excuses anyone for what is sexual assault, I will acknowledge that college kids are idiots. But I think it takes a truly entitled piece-of-work not to show remorse toward the victim, and then to actually defame her years later. She sued him again for the book, and again he settled with her.

That's pretty low.

Is the NFL going to take this seriously? That's my big question. And the person who should be asking this? Rodney Harrison.

Remember the NFL compared ball deflation to PED use. Let's see if old Mr. Ex-FBI Porn Mustache Esq. gets a call.

And one last thing. The reporter said on NBC Today Show that they have confirmation of the HGH shipment from Peyton Manning's camp.

Um, another shoe to drop?

But was it more probable than not that he was at least generally aware that HGH may have been shipped to his house?

Didn't they say deflation was worse?
