As I've said before, the fact that he basically failed as a player and still commanded all this affection and respect really makes me believe the nice things being said about him are true.
As for the thread subject -- Seymour was quoted as saying they'll do something but haven't decided what yet. I think patch-plus-ceremony is the default option if they can't think of something they feel is better.
