Gronk: arm injury

He was 31 when he broke his...Gronk is 23. Big difference.

Im not a doctor and most likely neither are you. Im just reporting what he said.
Ian Rap is reporting Gronk himself is telling people he will:rolleyes: be out 4-6 weeks.

Time for Welker to show why he should be a Patriot for life.

Shiancoe can hold down the Gronk role for the next several weeks. He is a downgrade, but at least a viable replacement (unlike the SuperBowl last year). Hernandez coming back will be nice too.

If Gronk gets a couple games under his feet before going into the playoffs healthy? Not a bad thing.

For those complaining about running up the score.....

The Patriots are at their best when they are putting their foot on throats. Sweep the leg.

This team is going to likely be the #3 or #4 seed, with a shot at #2. Losing Gronkowski for 4-6 games is not likely to change that.

Thankfully we have incredible TE depth this year. Though none can replace Gronk, hopefully we can get by with Fells, Hooman, and Shiancoe. Getting Ahern back would also be a boost and perhaps Ballard is finally ready to go.

Get well soon Gronk!

dont count on Ballard. they have more control over him if they don't activate him...and its better to give him time to heal anyways if its not DIRE.

So glad that BB shored up on TEs during off season , we may not miss Gronk a lot with the running game being the way it is , and also with the remainder of the regular season games being played in cold weather conditions we may not throw the ball as much. Lets hope he is back healthy for the post season

Rodney Harrison just now on NBC : "it took me six weeks to heal from my broken forearm..."

just in time for the playoffs

Shianco is just as a redzone threat as gronk is.

Whoever says this crap is not on BB is plain delusional. You don't have starters out there until the bitter end in 59 point blow outs.

Brady should not have been out there either. makes no sense, none at all and this is on BB.

Anyone who thinks you should question a winning formula because of a fluke injury on a PAT where he barely blocked his man is a complete idiot.

This is unbelievable

Ballard is ineligible to return this year.

All of a sudden, our offense lacks versatility with Hernandez and Gronk out. Ya Hernandez might play, but if he's not 100%, he shouldn't be out there plain and simple.

Jets actually did a decent job covering Welker last time they played They obviously will take their chances with tippy toe Lloyd trying to beat man to man coverage, who has failed miserably at that this year

We have TFB when was the last time our offense completely wilted without a single player? I can remember 2 instances 2009 Ravens but we all know that team sucked and last years super bowl albeit without Gronkowski.

I look at it this way the offense might go from scoring 36 points a game to 28 at WORST, so if theres anytime for the D to sack up and begin allowing low 20s to high teens in points its now. If they don't sack up we were going to lose in the playoffs anyway so its now or never.

This team WILL get a bye and get back to the super bowl, the season begins now
:rocker::rocker::rocker:

Double Post........

Even if BB pulled him from the game, he still would have gone back in for the PAT. Should he have put in the non-existent backup PAT team? Jesus, it was a freak thing.

Too bad Gronk's elite run blocking is a big reason the running game is doing so well.

Right. He is a downgrade but a viable replacement. We did not have this in the Super Bowl.

It sucks, but it is not a disaster. Still many weapons. And he will be healthy for the playoffs

Gronk is also our best run blocking TE

I think our offense without Gronk would be Edelman Welker Lloyd and Fells at TE, Shaincoe as the #2 TE. Luckily we have enough depth to deal with the injuries to Hernandez and Gronk.

Anyone blaming BB for keeping starters in late obviously doesn't remember the huge comebacks we've let slide in recent years. Keep the starters in until you're up 30+, which they did.
