He's a good player. I just don't begrudge the Patriots for paying him the kind of money he got from Philly. The Patriots would have been better this year with him, but just because he's been given some gimme INTs in the playoffs this year doesn't mean he would have gotten us another Super Bowl ring.

had proved over the years that he is one of the best ball hawking corners in the league. Is he a shutdown corner? No. Does he take risks? of course. but there is no denying that he is a game changer. I wish the Pats would have kept him, but at the price he was asking it was obvious that he would be leaving. The pats undervalue the position, in my opinion.
Where were you on the first drive where he took a horrible risk and got burnt for what should have been a TD? Were you missing him then?
I'm sure some of the CB's that were cut in preseason could have made that INT.
Yeah, our buddy got REAL lucky that Ellie couldn't make an easy throw there.Where were you on the first drive where he took a horrible risk and got burnt for what should have been a TD? Were you missing him then?
I think what a lot of you who are saying the Pats couldn't have afforded Samuel are missing is that the Pats could have been proactive by locking him up to a long-term contract before his price got out of control. With other players, Warren most recently, they've managed to do that.
The Pats have a GREAT organization, guys. That doesn't mean they're perfect. Too many of you feel that any criticism is disloyal or something.
... just INT'd Peyton's Little Brother and brought it back to the two. *sigh*
Actually, we feel that it's ridiculous to make threads about wishing Samuel were still in New England based upon interceptions that any NFL caliber cornerback could come up with.
