I know I shouldn't let what these clowns say bug me, but this morning they brought stupid to a whole new level.
The morning crew was going off about Moss and his shoulder injury (which is no surprise as Randy Moss bashing is pretty much all the Pats coverage you will get on 98.5) and then Toucher spun it around saying that the way the Patriots handle things will keep free agents from wanting to sign here.
This was so foolish on so many levels.
First off, what exactly did the Patriots do that was wrong? He was injured, they listed his injury, weeks later when he was not in doubt of playing they removed his name from the injured list.
Second, why the HELL would this keep a potential FA from wanting to come here? Because the Pats keep things quiet? The Colts have been keeping mum about Freeny's injury for a week and a half and I don't see anybody whining about that. And they are playing in the Super Bowl!
Or is 98.5 trying to imply that Moss' injury shows a lack of leadership and some confusion in the Front Office? If this was something that kept free agents from signing, how would the Redskins ever sign a free agent? That FO is the second most screwed up in the NFL (sorry Raiders).
Third, and this is more of a rant about the state of the Boston media than anything else, why-oh-why do we have so many radio guys in this town that flat out HATE this team? Everything the Pats -especially BB and Randy Moss- do gets blown out of proportion to the Nth degree! The list of radio host haters in this market is astounding: D & C, Felger, Mazz, Borges, Tomase and a half dozen other douches make their living bashing the Patriots. I travel a bit for work and listen to other markets sports radio a little bit. You almost never hear the home team bashing you do in this town. EEI Had one true "Homer" on their crew and they canned his fat ass! It something that has been bugging me for a while now.
Anyway, did anybody else hear this crap? I guess I should get a satellite radio and be done with this crap, but I do like some radio shows around here: Dale and Holley, DA on the SportsHub at night.
