I always disagreed with the Kraft-backlash based on this. He tried to let it go last spring because: 1) he knew he wasn't getting the 1st rd pick back no matter what and, 2) he simply didn't want to fan the flames of this whole annoying PR fiasco by dragging it out in court; because that means playing Leagal-speak games in a court of law in order to 'win' a PR game and influence public opinion.
...and Boom. That's exactly what Kraft pointed out today. He specifically criticized the way lawyers are taking this thing over and are making it far worse than it needs to be. That's what happening now. That's what Kraft was looking to avoid last spring (especially if you can't win back the 1st rd pick, as opposed to Brady who can win back those 4 games). Tom has to put up with this junk, and it's going crazy.
Good for Kraft, if it's going to be a PR mess, at least make it honest and direct to the point.
