Cya Edelman.

Love the guy, but if he ends up with the Ravens I will gleefully hope [Insert Our Nonexistent Strong Safety here] rocks him over the post the next time we play.

So Edelman hits FA, no offer on the table for Talib, they're now reporting the Browns or Raiders for Revis...

Gonna be one of those days...

we should all be used to this by now. :(

Mike Martz on NFL network had Emanuel Sanders as the best WR available with Golden Tate 2nd and he rated Decker as a 3rd Wr not a real #1.

Mike Martz just prove by that statement that he's an idiot nothing new. Sanders > Decker yeah right!

gee...never saw THIS comin'...

What?

JE dares to test F/A?!

Commence the venom filled posts about how ungrateful/unworthy he is. If you are at a loss for words look up old Welker posts from last year and substitute Edelman's name.

If JE does sign with another team be sure to dismiss the contribution he made to the Pats.

i feel like the tone of this board turned from 'we need him, sign him, do whatever' to 'fine, he's gone bc we won't overpay...lets hope we knock him out when we play him"

:bricks:

Make you wonder which team is going to win the Super Bowl today. :bricks:

Meh. If the reports are right, the Patriots offered him a fair deal. If he thinks he can get more, good for him, but Julian Edelman isn't the type of player you overpay for.

I agree, I expect them to make a hard run at Sanders as soon as free agency opens. they had extensive discussions with him last offseason so like Amendola they already have a clear idea of what it will take. A shame Edelman is not staying but that's the way it goes.

It may be wishful thinking but i really do expect Amendola to make up a big chunk of that loss in production and if they can get more of an outside guy to replace him then it may be for the best.

I'll go on a limb here and say he got low-balled....

This front office just doesn't like to pay guys.

Yep...If we lose Both talib/Edelman...and dont sign adequate replacements we will be in big trouble...

People shouldn't all of the sudden hate the player that was, but likewise you shouldn't expect us to not see him as the enemy when/if he signs somewhere else. When you stop wearing the Patriots uniform, Pats fans have every right to hate your guts and hope you suck forevermore.

@****yBelichick: Edelman told me he was going to test free agency and during mid sentence I told him "You're fired". I won that battle. #kisstherings

Pretty much sums it up:

I think this will be much like the Welker situation where they move quickly to replace him, this time it will be Sanders coming in on a similar deal.

I dont understand why this front office needs to be so cheap with guys...who are we saving cap space for? brady has another 2-3 years left. we cant keep handi-capping him with so-so rosters and expecting him to make chicken salad out of chiecken-Sh#@

it's time to give him a defense, give him some targets and try and win it.

I think the flaw in your logic is assuming the sentiment here is unanimous, where it clearly is not.

I'll go on a limb here and suggest you actually read the thread before you post half-****ed.

I'm just sick and tired of this team letting good players walk because of VALUE.

The team has plans for other players. If you don't fit into that plan by taking dollars the team has allocated to other positions, then you don't fit with the plan. Question the plan if you want, but if the plan is good, not following it hurts you.

Value built this franchise. There are many ways to win, but when you have a franchise QB you can't afford to have 22 starters making starter money.

A source close to Edelman said that side didn't believe it was fair value and did not like team deadline imposed upon him.

Plan B it is!
