BB still isn't over the jets loss

He should be made he was out coached and lost to a less talented roster. A lot has been made about GM Bill's shortfalls but coach Bill is not without fault.

I agree with you. Bill should also be embarassed because he did not understand the rule. McDaniels should also share some of the blame
for his ineffective 2nd half play calling.

fumble thinks coach BB has spread himself too thin and lately has not always had the attention to detail that made him a hall of famer.

soon coach BB will join don shula and tom landry as the only coaches capable of producing a game plan without remembering a thing about the previous game

Neither did the VP of officiating but I don't see anyone from the NFL doing anything to help clarify. In fact, they've gone the other way to further obfuscate.

And as this post mentions, there are only 17 "rules" in the NFL, yet it takes a 121-page PDF to explain them. It also lists a few examples of NFL referees botching calls from just last weekend. Imagine, people whose primary job is to know this stuff still screw it up even after decades of experience in the field. These aren't the replacement refs, they're the real deal.

Again, it isn't the fact that a rule was broken; rules are broken on every single play. It's how it is "interpreted" based on "guidelines" and the consistency of those calls that is maddening and frustrating. You might as well blame BB every time offensive holding is called on the team because he didn't understand the rule... :bricks:

obviously, some of you did not see the backhanded compliment in there

or maybe you're just too sensitive

Shabel remembers the time UConn was playing at Southern Methodist in 1965 and Bialosuknia went out to center court with the captains to meet the officials. Apparently an SMU captain's mother had had an operation.

"He comes back and says, "I think we're in trouble tonight. The official asked the kid how his mother's doing.'" Shabel said.

Read this quote this morning and it made me laugh. But there's a kernel of truth to it!

Patsfans forum frequent flyers too sensitive???? NO WAY!!!!!! :D

Those two clowns are the only two who think that. It is a penalty and was the right call.

Love that the idiots think the refs should have looked the other way. That in their minds not throwing a flag on a play that had a clear cut penalty in it would have been fair, would have made more sense. Somehow penalizing the Jets by looking the other way makes more sense to them

Wonder why every commentator who played the game or is part of the game along with the current and past head of officiating said that it was clearly the right call. But Bayless and Smith don't agree, shocking.

BTW, the players are the one that argued for the rule change and got it.
^ Objective "football" take - props.

Skip Bayless is the guy who thinks Tim Tebow's capable of playing QB in the NFL, that's all you need to know about Skip Clueless.

Stephen A. Asshole is a loud, obnoxious windbag who plays "angry" as part of his schtick.

And both of them (as does ESPN and the media in general) marginalize the Jets (when they're not bashing them) at every opportunity so it's not surprising they'd take that 'stance'.

On to the Dolphins....

Ah go punch a woman in the face.

And that's a compliment for a jet fan.......and I know that you aren't too sensitive to see the backhand.

Another poster labeled a Jets fan because he doesn't worship at the alter of Krafty Bob, Belichick, and Brady....can't criticize the team on this forum or risk being banned or called a Jets Fan!
