The Official Belichick 7/24 Presser Thread

All week long, we heard the media say if Belichick gave some detailed information and then said he would not be able to say anything more about Hernandez or anything involved in the process, they would be fine and abide by it. And then he did exactly that and the first few questions were Hernandez specific and when Belichick said he couldn't comment the reporter got angry.

So with the media, you have to do it the way they want and if you do, they'll attack you anyway.

"I have been advised to address this subject once and it's time for the New England Patriots to move forward."

Classic Belichick stonewall then goes into effect.

BB nailed it. Gave a thoughtful overview of the situation, his perspective, and the organizations goals during the evaluation process.
And now Q and A....BB back into non answer mode.
Well done

The Official Belichick Presser Thread

He seems really disappointed and shocked.

That will be the last thing we hear about Aaron Hernandez from somebody employed by the New England Patriots

I think they're really upset about the possibility that they took the field all last season with a guy who had committed 2 murderers the week before training camp and weeks after they said player received a $40 mil contract.

Way to go Curly Haired Boyfriend! Belichick does what you and the rest of the media wanted and then you go and ask questions you know Belichick can't answer. Moron!

Question about keeping players away from the Franklin hangout (aka weed pad)....BB says they have looked into it

I'm surprised he even answered the second part of his question.

Re: BB's Presser on Wednesday..

Pretty good job, he is trying to be responsive to the press, but he cannot discuss the specifics of the ongoing criminal investigation...

CSN had it live...

Curran be interviewed now. Talking about Belichick's relationship with the media. Says that Belichick could have defused "spygate" by being more forthcoming with the media.

Yeah, that would have solved everything. :bricks:

So basically he's admitting that the media collectively had an axe to grind because Belichick has never really given a **** about playing nice with them. Granted, we all knew that, but it's funny to hear members of the media admit it.

Wonder if that's what inspired this from Curran:

And here comes the vamping by media to show how dogged they are.

Dennard....no comment

Ant its over........
Let the mediots over analyze.
First to bat .....Tanguay.......loved the humanization of BB. "Refreshing Positive".......
just threw up in my mouth

ESPN now covering the AHern court appearance.............what a soap opera

Judge delays probable cause hearing...as expected

Greg A. Bedard ‏@GregABedard 1m

Belichick, IMO, knocked it out of the park. Smart choice. Gave his team the best chance to move on.

Which idiot reporter called the situation a 'colossal failure' on the part of the Patriots?

Let's get a bunch of football experts to predict whether a 20 year kid who smoked marijuana will shoot three people. Come on...

Curran: Media satified with BB response....
phew....that's a relief

said same thing.....already said that...will tweak our process ect
