Crable cut

Would anyone else take a punt on him?

I wouldn't doubt it. If they saw enough in him to keep him around this long.

Does this mean Crable jerseys will not be on sale in the pro shop right away?! Good thing I checked the board here before I buzzed down to Gillette to get mine. The waiting is the hardest part. :D

He'll be a Jet by tomorrow

I'll take that bet...

Surprise factor of zero on this.

Not suprized. The guy may have the talent but does not want to put in the effort to make it at the next level.

Just another death spasm from the lousy job the team did in drafting in rounds 2 and 3 from 2006-8.
The last 2 years drafts put that 3 year period to shame in terms of talent evaluation and selection.

That is sad - he was my binkie for 2008. Guess he never took it out of his mouth. I wish him well, but hope we can find an FA to replace him, the depth on OLB was not that good to begin with entering TC.

And you know this how?

I would be absolutely shocked if this was a smokescreen and he came back. He's done here. The writing was on the wall when he was PUP'ed yesterday. If he couldn't complete the conditioning test after all this time to prepare for it, that speaks even more volumes about the guy. Showed promise in the 2008 preseason, couldn't sneeze without getting IR'ed afterward. Good luck in your future endeavors, Shawn.

I'd like to say he'll be missed...

But he won't be.....

Having all the tools means ****....You could outfit me with all the tools of a carpenter and I couldn't build anything....nor would I have the desire to.
If you paid me alot of money, I'd make it look like I was trying but probably bang my finger with a hammer and go on workman's comp for a year or two...

Good Luck at MacDonald's Shawn....

Right on. Normally I run everything by Reiss for confirmation, but @realpatriots probably doesn't require it- it's the Pats' official twitter account ;)

I was kind of thinking the same when I saw that, although I don't fault him for putting Reiss as being so important

Well, at least he got to play that one down in regular season.

Oh wait....

To cut a third rounder before he plays out his rookie contract is not what you had in mind on draft day, obviously. This is the second such cut in as many years IIRC. It has to temper your expectations for Tyrone McKenzie or Brandon Tate at least a bit.

I didn't read the 'oh wait...' first time reading, and I got confused :)

It always amazes me the venom that Pats fans show people who are cut... Yes, it's disappointing that Crable didn't work out... But one thing is for sure, he's already made more money then most of the people on this board make in any given year.

Not even Reiss knows what happened. Whether Crable showed up hurt or got hurt during the conditioning testing or what....

Some of you have shown that you know what class is by saying you wish Crable well. That's as it should be. The rest of you??? Let us know when you lose your job so we can spit venom at you...

No it doesn't. Any intelligent person knows that every athlete is different. You should have the same attitude towards draft picks as you do stocks. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Meaning, anything can happen.
