OK, I get that now but it's a stupid, unnecessary comment. Being realistic is fine but being a negative ass solely for the sake of being an ass is just stupid.
Yes, if he's ready for the off season and so is Tate, Ohrnberger and (whisper it queitly) Crable then thats like an additional 4 draft picks
Tate and McKenzie especially i've high hopes for but you never know with the all the inuries these guys have had
I think I'm a little overly sensitive but I thought his wording was way over the top. Regardless, here's to a season with no ligament tears . . .I don't think he's being a negative ass.
It does seem like the Patriots have had an unfortunate stretch of ligament injuries to key players.

Hoping for a player's full recovery, and hoping for the avoidance of having another ligament injury when the team has suffered through 4 (3 if you don't count Tate) ACL situations in 2 years, as well as the MCL sprain that limited Mayo is negative now?
When the hell did that sort of sea change occur in the English language?
I just thought your wording of "snapping like frozen elastics" was over the top but this thread is bigger than that.
No it wasn't. Move on.So... "snapping like frozen elastics" to describe the ACL situation in New England is over the top, and it's somehow negative, too, somehow, but "negative ass" was somehow an appropriate response?
I look at McKenzie as more advanced than a rookie but less than a second year player. He has a lot of catching up to do with regard to on field reactions but he's way ahead mentally of players who won't even know they're Patriots for two more months.I believe that the proper perspective is that McKenzie is a fine prospect coming back from injury. He is starting over after rehabbing for a year, and having been away from football for a year.
Crable still plays football?
Has anyone heard what might be wrong with Crable? I know that might be impossible to answer. It's just so curious. The kid just can't stay on the field. I have heard no rumors that it might be an ACL/MCL type of injury either. So strange.

My suspicion is that's wrong with Crable is that he isn't good enough to warrant a roster spot. When's the last time a player became a contributor after not even stepping on the field in his first 2 years? Not sure why anyone's holding out hope that he's going to be able to give us anything, at this point.
