The Patriots got the ball on their own 30-yard line with 6:33 left, went on a 13-play, 71-yard drive that killed the entire clock.

Coming off of Sunday’s Patriots win against the Steelers, here are some thoughts on some players after the team notched their first victory of 2021.

Unlike last season, one thing that’s been noticeable is the fact New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones doesn’t seem quite as confident or as cocky as he was at the beginning of his rookie year. 

After looking like meek division tailenders last week at Miami, the Patriots came into hostile territory and emerged victorious.

So three coaches over how many years? 50…Mike’s [Tomlin] done a great job. Fifteen straight winning seasons, that’s pretty impressive.”

Former Patriots offensive lineman and College Football Hall of Famer, Shelby Jordan passes away at age 70.

Some news and notes on this Friday as the New England Patriots get set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.

Coming off of Sunday’s loss down in Miami, there’s no question that the Patriots could use a win down in Pittsburgh to try and turn around their 0-1 start.  However, it looks like they’re already facing a little bit of adversity.

This week’s opponent is the Pittsburgh Steelers.  We haven’t played them in three years after being perennial opponents when both teams were making the playoffs.  The game is being played in Pittsburgh and that may be the deciding factor on who wins this game.

Bourne and Agholor are the YAC guys. They have to get more creative (there’s that word again) Play-action, motion, and trickery if need be.

Some Patriots news and notes for Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Just days after scoring the New England Patriots’ lone touchdown in Miami against the Dolphins, it looks like running back Ty Montgomery is going to be sidelined for the foreseeable future.

The issues with New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne have been a mystery up to this point after we’ve seen Bourne be limited both during training camp, the preseason, and then again on Sunday.  That’s obviously led to him having become a topic of discussion leading to questions as to what the problem is.

Patriots lost to the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami by the score of 20-7.  The score was not indicative of the game.  Miami’s victory was never in doubt. 

“(We) Need to finish some drives better on both sides of the ball and make an impact. Just build on this and go back to work.”

Some experts believe that the 2022 Patriots might begin the season 0-4, and Sunday’s game at Miami did nothing to dispel that thought.

I’m sure it’s true both ways. It’s opening day, nobody’s really shown anything. We’ll see what happens first game.

It’s sort of crazy to think that teams have gone decades without finding their guy.  Meanwhile, Belichick essentially had just one season without his.  Raise your hand if you’re a little surprised.

As we start the season I will produce weekly analysis of the opponent for that week.

Look for the Patriots to return to the power-running game here. This could be the key matchup for the game (from a Patriots’ perspective).

The New England Patriots are down in Palm Beach Florida ahead of Sunday’s season opener down in Miami, with the hopes that the early arrival will help the club get acclimated to the South Florida weather.

Training Camp is done and we are getting ready to kick off the regular season on Sunday, September 11th at 1:00 in Miami against the Dolphins.
