Your surprise cut prediction

IMO Sully wont be cut. He has shown complience, lost weight, and needs time in the system to see if BB can harvest the talent.

IMO Faulk is not going anywhere. He is still the best 3rd down back in the game.

Since this is a suprise cut thread, if Branch comes back and Childress gets healthy, Troy Brown could be cut for another vet who is younger. Yes I know, you think I am crazy.

hes a better than average backup at least..has experience so Gorin will stick

as far as Faulk..incase u didnt hear hes having a tremendous camp..hes worked on holding ball higher. hes not going anywhere

kevin faulk is one of the best recieving backs in the league, hes a supurb third down weapon. Its much more likely that pass or evans go before him

His astronomical fumble to touch ratio is unacceptable. Belichek has reached for the pepto bottle one too many times over Faulk. I'm surprised he has lasted this long.

^hes gotten praise..hes worked hard. and read 1 of the articles..says hes looking to see how Maroney holds the ball higher for better ball security so obviosuly hes doing something about it. you dont cut a guy who can tremendously help you because he fumbles..its easy to fix. why didnt Giants cut Tiki when he had way too many fumbles AS a starter?

Tebucky Jones
Marquise Hill

Chad Jackson. Since he's missed so many practices already there's no point in keeping him on the roster. What a disappointment. Now that there's absolutely no way that he performs well as a rookie, it's time for an actual man at WR who doesn't sit on his ass with a hamstring injury.

(Was that a good impersonation of Casale?)
Substitute "butt" for 'ass" and you have Casale perfectly.

I hope you're right about Sullivan - but he has all the marks of the "example" cut that coaches like Belichick likes to make...

But if Sullivan hasn't shown value on the field, he stands to be more valuable as an example cut to keep other players in line - that is, to show the rookies what happens when you show up out of shape and get in trouble on your own time etc...

There is NO WAY I see Troy Brown being cut given the lack of depth at WR... though I realize you're stretching for a surprise cut and are really looking on the bright side of other WRs producing... but really what you're talking about is cutting our #3 WR, assuming Branch and Caldwell are the top 2 and that's just not going to happen

Pass, but he would be no surprise, he's all-ready been cut a couple of times only to be brought back later. Also Hill, he's shown nothing since he's been here. And if Hills has gotten this much time, I think Sullivan will get every chance. I think (THEY) believe his size and potential is to much to give up on.IMHO.

That won't happen again. Patrick Pass of 2006 is better known than the Patrick Pass of 2003.

Marquise Hill is definately a possibility.
He's on do or die time to be sure.
Especially if Wright is doing as well as we are led to believe.

I know this is blasphemous, but my surprise cut guess is Rodney Harrison. Please note, I'm not hoping this happens. In fact, it pains me to even consider it. But we all know how unemotional Belichick is. Harrison's recovery has been amazing. The fact that he is even walking without a limp, never mind running around on a football field, is a true testament to his determination. But at the end of the day, Belichick is looking for productive football players. If Harrison is unable to still play at a high enough level then I could see Belichick letting him go.

An 8th year so called "best 3rd down back" in the league is going to have his fumbling problem solved by a rookie without a single NFL carry?!!! That is comforting.

No, you're completely missing the point.

Faulk is again relegated to 3rd down back, and 3rd down back only.

When Faulk was forced, because of Dillon's injuries, to run the ball frequently on 1st and 2nd down, that's when the fumbling occured. Maroney will now have those reps.

Faulk, by all indications, has had a solid camp, and remains Brady's favorite target out of the backfield. The Pats won't just cut a big piece of their offensive puzzle because he has fumbled in the past.

You better slip on some type of protection while you still can. I can already hear PATSNUTme lurking around the corner...

(That did NOT come off right... )
