Who's return? a-d-a-m - never heard of him.

i should cheer at the beginning and, then, indifference later and hoping that he will miss every possible field goal

thks Adam for what have you done for us (i can not forget the emotions you gave me) but from now...indifference...

my opinion

Vina who?

Isn't that the chick who was in the cage with Captain Pike?

I'm sorry, but I don't know whom you are talking about.

As long as adam v is on the losing team I don't care.
The worst thing that could happen would be to have adam kick the game winning FG
If it's close, the best thing would be to have the Ghost kick the GW FG!! :rocker:
And the best overall would be something like Pat's 38 - Dolt's 7, and seeing AV just warming a bench and thinking "what if ...".

When Terry Glenn made his return in a Dallas uniform a couple of years back-despite all the expected boos, I was surprised he wasn't greeted nearly as rudely(and it was nothing compared to TO's return to Philly).

Looking forward to AV's short kickoffs. If the Colts manage to score it will be nice knowing that Maroney is going to get a running start on the ball when he catches it at the 25 yard line.

Damn good point. Forgot about that.

I agree, that is a good point...that MAroney has got deceiving speed huh, he is gonna break one soon IMO. I'll take #12 consistently starting drives on our 35-40 yard line (and maybe on their's as well)...it's nice to have that threat in our game this year...

I will be at the game and I have said before that I won't boo him, but will cheer loudly if he misses a kick. Now that the game is close, my emotions are taking over and I am going to boo. I like someone else's idea that his ideal only significant involvement in the game is when Laurence Maroney runs back one of his short kick-offs for a score, running him over with a stiff-arm in the process. GO PATS!! DOWN WITH AV!!

My sentiment - he left by choice - screw him.

Who??????????

That's a funny one. (and expect it to come true)

I think the timing of his return and what's at stake will make it a harder return for AV. If this was the last game of the year and one or both teams were out of it, fans would be more willing to grudgingly respect what he did for the Pats in year's past. Now, however, how can anyone cheer for him? This is for first place in the AFC against our most hated AFC rival, setting up what could be home field advantage throughout the playoffs if both teams continue to play as well as they have. AV is going to do his best to help Peytie Pie crush us!! Screw him!! There should either be boos or silence. He made his bed; now he can lie in it (hopefully fully stretched out after LOMO has run him over on a scamper to the endzone).

a telling thing is when branch left there was so much reaction in the locker room, iam yet to here anyone who was close to adam regretting what the pats did. Two different situations but still is worth noticing

Also adam told the media today that he left messages for BB and kraft but was never returned and hasnt spoken to them since.

Also from the Herald blog :

"– As for the negotiations in free agency, Vinatieri called the finances a “very, very minor†part in his decision."

Which can mean only one of two things :

- He's lying.
- He specifically wanted to leave the Patriots.

Either way, screw him.

Doesn't really matter to me, hes a kicker who decided to take more money than the Pats were going to give him, I am not outraged because he joined the Colts, if they wanna give him the money thats fine, I don't think AV will be the big difference in their super bowl run, and I think most Colts fans would rather be able to stop the run than make a 48 yard FG. If signing AV back for big money would of prevented us from using the money on guys like Koppen, I would just assume he went somewhere else.

Another player who claims the pats were dishonest in his own words...he did leave for money nothing else....wonder what felger and company say now that the krafts shouldve paid vinateri now that he claims money was a minor factor

I agree with JJ.

But in all honesty I wish the Pats had fanchised him, the difference between Ghost and AV has not been a factor for the Patriots but his arrival at Indy has made a difference. Besides any mental edge he may give Indy in close games his 12 for 12 is one of the reasons they are 7-0, 4 games won by 5 points or less. If it was my decision I would have franchised him and used the 4th rounds picks on a LB. But the past is the past, he made his bed now he can go pad his stats and lose in the play-offs every year until he retires.

Sun 9/10 at NY Giants W 26-21
Sun 9/17 Houston W 43-24
Sun 9/24 Jacksonville W 21-14
Sun 10/1 at NY Jets W 31-28
Sun 10/8 Tennessee W 14-13
bye
Sun 10/22 Washington W 36-22
Sun 10/29 at Denver W 34-31

Let's not heap too much praise on AV for this, he's been injured for a few games and hence not a factor at all.

He deserves some credit for last week against Denver though.
