At first I thought that was odd too... but then realized it's very much on brand for what Vrabel is doing...
He's building a team with depth & ownership across the status lines. QB's and star offensive players always get the credit and the visible accolades, but that's a given. I think he expects Maye to play well, and that is something Maye can handle, not being publicly swooned, and rather see the credit spread to the typically unsung guys to bring an equality in value on this young team. I think it will do a lot of good for the team building going forward.
