Dude... it's always gonna be too soon for that

I look forward to Bill talking about this draft swing and a miss. Seems to have a lot to say these days about the Pats so let’s hear about this one too

Very disappointing flameout. He goes to show that you have to consider the level of competition these guys face at the college level. BoneyT looked great in the Big12. But the Big12 in his day was notorious for pass defense being an afterthought. He just couldn't make the jump against DBs who actually worked at their craft. Still, I like the kid; I hope he catches on somewhere that does us no harm.

At least we won't have to deal with any more training camp reports about how good Tyquan looks and how "this is his year, for real this time"
Or weekly reports on how good he looked in practice. I'm shocked that he made it to the NFL with his slight frame and no hands.

I don't think it's better DB's. Thornton can't catch a cold.

Well, is there anyone amongst us that didn’t see this day coming? Let’s just hope we’re not replacing one 2nd round “One Catch Wonder” with another one (Polk - 10 games/11 receptions). I think the story in this morning’s Globe sums up his Patriot career rather well: “Thornton’s best moments as a Patriot came during training camp, when he flashed highlight-reel plays.”

On draft day we were shocked they took Boney T instead of George Pickens

2024 stats

Boney T 4 rec. 47 yards 0 td
George P 40 rec. 639 yards 2 tds

Not a shock. Too skinny and was known as a poor route runner in college. Drafting just based on 40 time in underwear is stupid

In the interest of fairness, Boney was 4 years old in 2004. Although I have to admit those stats for a 3 year old Pickens are truly impressive
