Yea but I would prefer a then 26yr old Dorsett extension over a then 30yr old Hogan extension obviously preferably both but it appears our cap is low.

We need Slot Options like Cobb and Tate who are slightly younger than Hogan who is not very good from the Slot.

Correction Goden Tate is year older than Hogan superior to Hogan though: would love him on a two or three year pack. Last contract for Tate but he's very productive he can retire with Brady when that time comes.

I believe that we have Edelman for 2019 and no other WR.
Berrios (IR) and McCarron (PS IR) will presumably still be under their rookie deals if they recover. They are way way WAY down the depth chart but just sayin'...

The 2019 FA Class not exactly spectacular but there are some familiar names such as...

Randall Cobb - Golden Tate - Cole Beasley - Kelvin Benjamin - Donte Moncrief and Tyler Lockett just to name a few.

Absolutely Golden Tate please...a 2-3-year contract...but not a bank-breaker...for a Ring.

Slater is under contract thru 2019.

“Slater, run straight down the field without tracking the ball, count to ten and then wave your hands over your head like you’re making a fair catch. Oh, and try to do it inconspicuously, so that no one wonders about our personnel grouping.”

Tier 1
Trey Flowers
Trenton Brown
Stephen Gostkowski

Tier 2
Cordarrelle Patterson
Chris Hogan
Ryan Allen
LaAdrian Waddle
Jeremy Hill
Phillip Dorsett
Malcom Brown
Danny Shelton

We have something like 26 million before any moves. We should get some space from Devin McCourty, Hightower and Gronk. Also when in cap trouble, TB Bank is always open for business. WRs are easier to replace than Flowers and Tren Brown. BTW, what a FKING steal James White is.

We might see the end of Slater this offseason.

He’s still pretty dominant on special teams, and provides a veteran leader type of presence in the locker room. I’m guessing that he stays unless he retires.
He is not the gunner once before. Slater should stay on as a staff.

He's the QB of coverage and blocking units. He calls the plays and directs the gunners and other roles. And he's still often one of the first 2-3 guys down the field. In spite of being dogged by a bad hammy last season, he downed three punts inside the 10 in one game.

He's not done.

next year is going to involve making a lot of moves

McCourty has a 13.4 mil hit(7%)
Allen has a 7.4 mil hit
clayborn has a 6 mil hit
Burkhead has a 3.4 mil hit

We'll probably cut allen outright, cut burkhead, restructure mccourty, not sure on clayborne.

That ought to give us enough wiggle room to sign someone, instead of the revolving door of jags we had this year.

Why cut Burkhead? You won't save ANY money in 2019 (dead money > ),in fact they will loss ($656,250).

Adding to your list: Ebner and Slater. Both making almost 3m to be Ster only guys is way too much.

Adding them the cap would be $44,254,007

And the 53 would look like:

Cap Space = $44,254,007
Cushion ($ 5.254,007 )
Sign Picks and PS ($ 6.000.000)
New Cap Space = $5.254,007
