Would you trade 2025 1st for CeeDee Lamb?

From what I can tell you would prefer that to be Mac Jones.
Maye might not even be better than Mac! I just don't see where anyone thinks he is a top flight QB. He played in an awful conference against inferior competition and still wasn't that good! Frankly I wouldn't be shocked if Milton beats him out!

ABSOLUTELY disagree. Can you guys count? Are you so enamored with ANY top WR that you will sell your soul to pay $40MM/yr to the detriment of the rest of your roster.

It's not that I'm against drafting a WR, but EVERY single year colleges send the NFL enough quality WR's so getting a good prospect in the 2nd or 3rd round is almost a guarantee.

Next year we SHOULD (IMHO) definitely be picking the best DT or edge available when we draft, which is likely going to be in the top 10, so I'm being constantly told.

We brought in virtually no one on D in this draft, and will need help. Of we do go offense first, I'd much rather choose a LT or can't miss TE if there's one available.

There will be plenty of shots to spend an obscene amount of money on WR's in FA next, March, when THAT class is likely to be BETTER than this last one. AND larger.

Why spend that kind of $ AND a top 10 pick, when if WR is your priority, you can keep your pick and still spend your big $ on one in FA if that is the way you want to go

I agree, Ken. I still feel like LT maybe the top priority in next year's draft (Caeden Wallace not withstanding), but we definitely need to have a Defensive focused draft next year.

Also not to mention that Javon Shakin Bake Baker is going to be a Stud #1

If I had a dollar for every WR who's mouth didn't match his talent, I'd be a rich man.

Lamb is currently my favorite WR, but for the sake of a long term rebuild I think the 1st next year could be better utilized elsewhere. He is also slow he only ran a 4.5 (that was sarcasm because I saw so much of that after Polk and Baker were drafted so I wanted to use it on an established guy)

I voted yes.

I realize the need for a franchise LT with that pick will have many rejecting it, unfortunately next years class of Tackles is the opposite of this year’s, with there being almost no talk of franchise tackles being available in the class.

Lamb is a true #1 WR, and although it will be a costly deal they need to get Maye the weapons to succeed, and adding Lamb to this Receiver unit could accomplish that.
I totally get the concern at LT, however I really do believe that player is already on the roster. We have quite a few guys to line up at the position. I really and truly seriously doubt wolf and Mayo are purposely leaving that position out. I guess it would have to all depend on the LT performance this season to determine if we take one with a high pick next year or trade it for lamb... as a fan I really hope we aren't picking top 5 again.

That and horrible accuracy was the exact same argument used against Josh Allen.

With the likely possibility that our pick will be in the top 5 with or without Lamb…

What has Josh won?
The AFC east the last 4 consecutive years. I get that its SB or bust but its not easy to win the SB. It kills me that people downplay Josh Allen because of no SB wins, but winning the SB is a team thing and the Chiefs are better than the Bills. Especially because the Bills keep building the Chiefs roster (trade that was used for Mahomes and then Worthy). lol

Obviously if you had a crystal ball and Sir Caeden Wallace successfully transitions to LT then this becomes a no brainer slam dunk trade. If not, you are losing out on a potential franchise LT next year. Tough call, but Lamb, Polk and Baker has the potential of being a great trio for Drake in the future.

No
We may be picking in Top 5 next year
We will have lots of cash in FA

Picking that high usually brings in a blue chip player. Crap shoot but odds are high.
Would rather use the pick on a player we will have for 5 years on a rookie contract

We are not going anywhere this year.
Let Maye learn the system and get his nuances under control
Bring him in next year with the remaing parts this team needs

If I knew we would be picking in lower half of draft. I would say yes.
If we pick high again next year. Then No. Lamb is not worth that pick

Of course not. It is still too early in this rebuild to buy high investment (1st rounder), high salaried vets on this team. That's a game for teams a lot closer to being in contention than this dismal group. Stay the course, keep your picks, build the team with draftees, buy potential, not past performance.

Jerrah has a real problem. He can’t pay Parsons, Prescott, and Lamb. Even though there is talk he will let Prescott walk I don’t believe it, as you can’t win without a QB, and Jerrah wants a ring before he goes to the big White House in the sky.

CeeDee Lamb is likely to be the one Jerrah moves, and the Patriots 1st in 2025 would seriously tempt him, as it will likely be a high pick even with Lamb coming to NE. So, if the Patriots are given the opportunity to sign Lamb to a long term deal would you trade the 2025 1st round pick for him?
I would not. We'll probably be picking high enough in each round (even if the team shows real progress in every area except win total, which is fine with me for this season), that we'll be able to draft a day one starting LT and address other positions with solid prospects. That being said, would I give up a 2nd round pick for him? Maybe. But that depends on who would be there when we pick in the 2nd round. Even then, I'd be reluctant to part with a possible top 3 2nd round pick.

So if the Vikings said they would trade Justin Jefferson for the Patriots 25’ first round pick you wouldn’t do it?
That would be extremely tempting. However, if we're drafting that high that a day one plug and play franchise LT is there to draft (moving Wallace over to RT, I would keep the pick.

If Wallace can be a stud at RT and we can draft a 10 plus year stud at LT, that's the best course of action. Then address other area's in the rest of the draft (also dependent on who we get in free agency).

They already have a stud at RT, and they just paid him.

Either Wallace starts at left tackle or barring injury is relegated to the bench.

I think people are forgetting how good our defense is and how impactful an elite WR1 can be for an offense.
Impact I’m most concerned about is opponents pass rush on our QB due to our OL quality.

How would this fix that?
