You keep telling me it's a team sport. Now it's all the QB after all? Make up your mind man.
"Proven commodities" like Juju with a bad knee and Parker who is always injured himself? Those are proven commodities?

And how did Mahomes do in the Super Bowl with an OL as bad as what the Patriots are putting out there every week? Nuff said.

Jones will likely be out the door next season as will the other two stiffs on the roster. Brand new QB room next season is a start but it's not the only thing that needs to be done to the offense. Fact.
QB is part of the team. You have serious comprehension issues.

Did you just ask me how Mahomes did playing in a Super Bowl against the best team in the NFC?

The Patriots are 2-8 with the 30th ranked scoring offense... and you think these two things ^ are in anyway similar?

Good grief...

9 points, an all time record low for him. With an OL that day just as bad as the Patriots OL every week. So much for the "With <some elite QB> this offense is great!" Denial ain't just a river in Egypt I guess.

As for Jimmy and SF, too bad we don't have a guy with half his talent on our roster right now so I wouldn't count on a repeat. Hypotheticals like that are worthless.

....says the poster who called me a Mac shill when I pointed out that Lowe is terrible and his man was in Mac's face on the same play where Mac threw the pick. I don't think it's me saying team doesn't matter.

If people are going to blame everything on Mac then I'm too happy to give Brady every single piece of the credit for the dynasty. That logic goes both ways.

Obviously a Mac shill. The quality of the team doesn’t matter it’s all Mac’s fault cause it’s all the QB (except when it’s Brady winning). Put literally anyone else in and this offense is great. Lmao

Wozzy still in the denial stage
Seems like Wozzy wants to do everything to defend Bill/diminish Brady, even if he contradicts himself.

When anyone praises Brady's role in the dynasty, he's quick to point out how it's a team game and strawman you to death

Hell when people used to critique Mac and say he couldn't win us a game, he used to be the first dismiss this by saying a QB can't do "everything by himself"

Now that Mac is playing so bad that it's an indictment on Bill's roster management/coaching, he has to pivot to saying Mac is just that terrible and that the team is fine (even though it isn’t). Why the switch up, @Wozzy?

I'd find the posts but my search function isn't allowing me to view my older posts for some reason.

The Pats offensive line hasn't been bad since week two... you read too many analytics and can't see when a QB is making his line look bad. They rushed for 170 yards versus the Colts, our line was manhandling their front... Mac stunk up the joint.

One bad QB can take a decent roster and make them terrible.

That's how JimmyG inherited a 1-10 49ers team and won five straight to end the season.

Nobody can win with terrible at the QB position... Jimmy was no savior or amazing, he just didn't suck.

Mac has sucked.

And I'm a "Mac shill" for pointing out the offense sucks, which it does. Hilarious.

Nobody mentioned Brady... wtf are you talking about?

The offense sucks because the QB sucks.

All our weapons and lineman didn't forget how to play football overnight.

I think Zappe gets the start against the Giants but unless he does well, Mac will return.

The run blocking has improved for sure and that's why we can run now where we couldn't before.

The pass blocking absolutely blows. 44% for pass block win rate is abysmal. Worst in the NFL. Not one QB can thrive with this whether they're good or not. Not. One. Blame GM Bill for ignoring the OL in the offseason. I know I do.

Sure look like they did. Too bad BB didn't bother to fix a need up front that's been a need for almost half a decade now.

Well there's a Boston Herald article on the home page today that says "Practice Will Determine Patriot's Week 12 QB competition"

So based on the way BB has coached the team this season, whichever QB has the best week of practice will end up sitting on the bench.

I think we should be all-in on Cousins. He is the kind of consistent vet that we need at this point.
We've gone through 4 years of youth and chaos at QB. I don't want another risky top draft pick.
Cousins has a few good years left - let either Grier or Malik, or bring in Davis or M. White to be #2.
Put all the draft into #1WR, LT, TE and Front 7.

Chess checkers or something...

I don't trust Bill drafting receivers. Or TE at this point. Kirk will be an upgrade but not enough to get this team to the Super Bowl. And he tore his Achilles, and will be 36 next season. We don't know when he will fall off

The blocking improved in week 3 when they rushed for 157 yards and didn’t allow a sack.

The run blocking after that was pretty irrelevant with Mac spotting opponents 2-3 TD’s by halftime by turning it over and throwing pick sixes. You don’t run the ball down thirty points.

Agree. I would be for this plan without BB running the show.
As for Cousins and the achilles, those have a pretty good history of being fully recoverable and don't take the year to adjust like ACL's.
Everyone is 100% on Rogers being able to still take this Jets team to the SB next year. And Rogers is 4 years older than Kirk.

Denial of what?

Passive aggressive sniping is a feminine trait. Be direct.
Direct? I've been pretty direct in saying you have no clue about football and are a fanboy clinging to what desperately fits your homer narrative about the team. I couldn't possibly have been clearer on that.

Fanboy of what? Nobody but you knows what you're talking about... you just think we do.

Super Bowl 53 - Feb 3, 2019 - Patriots make Goff look like a potential draft bust, and win our 6th SB.
Imagine 4 seasons later the Patriots would be dreaming of landing a QB as good as Goff, after not winning another playoff game as he leads the Lions to the top echelon of the NFL.
My, how the turntables... have turned.
