Green-Ellis made the squad. I didn't think he would. He could be cut tomorrow or next week. He is at the bottom of the roster and won't be active unless there are two injuries at RB or there are so many others dinged up that he need to be active to fill in on special teams.

"It’s telling that when Belichick speaks of Green-Ellis, he rarely does so simply in regards to his running ability. Yesterday, he lauded the player’s ability to run, catch passes, block, pass-block and hang tough in the kicking game".....todays Boston Herald. BB loves BJGE. Deal with it big boy !

Mgteich, I believe you said "BJGE needs to find a league where he can only play against fourth stringers". Coach BB found a league for him to play in. Its called the NFL.

If Belichick loves Green-Ellis as much as you say, then Morris should have been cut. There will be no reps for him.

Keep talking that trash against BJGE. "There will be no reps for him". We'll see. Every time he gets a rep this season, I'll post just to let you know.

All I see PERSONALLY see (just MY observations) is Morris giving up on Pollard in game one last year, while he crawled his ass to Brady's leg........

Does Law Firm allow that...I doubt it.

In return, can MgTeich ridicule any game BJGE is inactive?

Might want to rewatch the play, as painful as it is. The whole reason why Pollard lunged the way he did was because Morris had put him on the ground in the first place and was lying on top of him. I agree that he's not a very good blocker, but saying that he 'gave up' is just completely wrong.

Considering that it'll take at least 2 injuries for him to even make the active 45, you go ahead and do that...

I'm not taking trash that BJGE will be active every game. BJGE is a solid backup in this league. With the injury issues with Morris and Maroney, BJGE will contribute this season. If he doesn't contribute this season, you can let me have it. But if he does..................I just might mention it to Mgteich.

"2 injuries"? Morris and Maroney? So whats your prediction? Week 4? or 5?

I HAVE watched it again and again, he gave up on him at the end like he wanted the refs to call him out or some crap.......

Maybe YOU should watch it again

You misinterpreted my post. My point is if Green-Ellis is so good, we might as well cut Morris because there will be no reps for Morris.

To be clear, I expect Green-Ellis only to be active when needed for special teams, which would occur if there we have several injuries and in cases when two other running backs are out with injuries. Even then, any pair of two healthy running backs on the squad could take all but a couple of reps in a game.

Like I said in a past thread, I had a feeling we would carry 5 RB's. Last year was proof we need to.

No matter which side of the debate you're on you don't need to trash either Maroney or BJGE, I'm glad to have both.

I personally don't judge people by how fast they are..Chad jackson is fast, do ya think he should be on this team?

Bah

BTW..
Mister Maroney has 12 total TDS in 388 carries
BJGE has 5 TDS in 74 Carries

Ben doesn't turn into a pumpkin when a defender comes around neither

Great line! Turns into a pumpkin. LOL. Yeah, Maroney may be faster, but when a defender breathes on him, he turns into a pumpkin!! Rupert Pumpkin!

BJGE is clearly the developmental guy. However, my guess is that if you had a list of the oldest 10 or 12 running backs in the NFL, Faulk, Taylor, and Morris are most likely all on that list. Maroney and Morris also appear to be injury prone. BJGE could find himself, just like last season, starting in a game or two this season.

NFL Videos: Week 1: Tom Brady injury

It wasn't a good block, but it's obvious from a mile away that Morris stuck with him until the end. Might want to get your eyes checked. If you want to fault him for not blocking well, then I'm with ya. If you're trying to call him out for 'giving up', then get a clue.

Congratulations to BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Great to see someone force his way onto a roster at a position where there isn't any opening, through hard work.

That's what preseason's all about, to me.

Definitely. Hard not to like the kid, that's for sure.

NO, he didn't.

IDGAS WHAT YOU SAY, he TRIED to keep with him, but he let him through at the very end, END OF STORY!!
Get your eyes checked, he could have done a better job at keeping him down, there is NO WAY that Pollard should have EVER been there in the first place.

NO WAY
