Wide Receiver and Safety

We carry four (sometimes only three) wide receivers and three safeties, not counting players who primarily play special teams. That's seven players. We currently have three fine players on the roster and FOUR open positions.

While there is a lot of room for roster upgrades, these positions MUST be filled. Re-signing James Sanders, Lew Sanders and Gaffney would go a long way toward solidifying the roster at these positions.

Adding these three, Paxton, Evans, and trading Cassel, would really have us ready to go forward.

We don't need to spend any picks or other resources at WR, but I would love to spend money or a high pick on someone to pair with Meriweather for the next 10 years.
