Yet half the board seems to think it is only a couple year process before we're right back in it. My post was simply stating the franchise has nose dived even with Bill still here. Some seem to be getting their panties in a bunch but it is what it is. I didn't proclaim we will never win a game. I just stated a simple observation but the homer patrol doesn't like numbers.
I think right now we are where the Rex Ryan Buffalo Bills were. They also didn't have much of a passing game and tried to get by with good defense and a good running game, and the results of that was a mixed bag. Sounds familiar I think.

So if the Bills could build from that to a contender in about a 3 year timeframe - there's no reason why Bill the supposed greatest coach of all time couldn't coach this team to the same thing in the same time. I don't think he should (nor will he) get forever to build this team, we are not starting from scratch like the Jets.

Is it just me or does none of this seem bad or out of line with things we’ve heard before
Agree. Some new details, some drama, some "hollywood"ing it up, but nothing earth shattering.

I also don't sense the "pro Bill" slant that this book was hyped up to have but we'll see when the whole thing comes out.

To be honest I think we are pretty close to starting from scratch. Let's say by year 3 Mac is just starting to enter his prime. How many guys on the current roster do you think will still be here in 2 years from now? Maybe Andrews, Dugger, Uche, Meyers, and a few other rookies from this and last year's class? I don’t think this team had a lot of young talent coming into the season which is why they went wild in free agency. Maybe some of these guys give Mac a boost next year and accelerate the learning curve but I think Bill really needs to nail the next draft class or two particularly at the skill positions and in the secondary to set us up going forward for the next 3-5 years.

Its almost as if, something changed.....Winning record for 20 years....then 8-12 the next two years....hmmm...what changed...cant put my finger on it...

Well, there's always the Bucs to follow for those who don't want to wait it out a couple of years for the rebuild. If Brady stayed here until 45, we'd be in the exact same spot in 2023. BTW, I recall a winning season in 2008 without Brady...hmm

It didnt mean losing your first 3 home games

we lost 2 out of our first 3 home games due to a fumble and a missed FG. Get some perspective.

We didn't make the playoffs. Maybe we should hang a fake banner up like the colts. We nearly made it boys.

A year later and you still troll poorly.

Perspective is the pats lost 3 straight home games. Not sure what prespective you want. You can make some excuses for losing, but I dont remember any excuses for any 1 point victories. Its about winning and losing, this is not horseshoes

I'm not the one reigniting the Bill vs. Tom debate...that would be you and @Pats1971, although you're both doing it passive-aggressively.

We didn't make the playoffs in 2002 either...with Brady.

Well you can say that, but its hard to prove that considering Brady went 20 years and never had a losing record. So I guess its easier to say things then to actually show something that would make them true.

When did I compare Brady to bill? What are you talking about? Bill is a coach, brady is a player

Imagine if Brady wasn't the QB that year, they win 4-6 games at best. D didn't carry Brady that year as they were terrible.

It is hilarious how you literally have to go back 19 years to find a time when Brady didn't make the playoffs. You kinda hurt the point you are trying to make more than help it.

Yes, and do you think that would be the case if he were drafted by the Chargers?

Look back at the 2008 schedule and how amazingly easy it was. All 5 loses were against better teams.

If Brady is healthy they win the SB that year, league was very down in general.

If you're going to continue your nonsense at least get better at it. I thought you were a big brain lawyer?

I'm not surprised at your whining...you were the one who started the "I'm depressed" thread after last year. This is after 20 years of pure dominance by the Pats. And this year, after 4 games, it appears you're panicking again.

Hold on, is Mac10 Timmy?
